If like me you were a tad gutted about the absence of Dubai from this years calendar you might fancy something we will be doing at Podimore. It will be a 100 target event on a wednesday which will be shot in exactly the same way as in Dubai. In other words 5 sim pairs per stand from 3 traps. It wont be for the faint hearted, expect some super quick combinations and some properly long stuff as well. Places will be limited to 10 squads of 6, 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon the same as we are doing with the Supersporting we are doing on the 16th March.

We can guarantee that there will be NO sandstorm interference  , though we arent sure that the budget will stretch to a fully airconditioned athletes lounge, or to the 5 miles of flags.. ...

Competition entries only and cost will be £50 which will include bacon roll & Hot drink on arrival and All day "Both Barrels" breakfast or Baguette equivalent plus hot drink for lunch and a piece of one of Vals fabulous cakes.

High Gun will be £100 and we will pay out in classes as well. We havent set a date yet but it will be aanounced over the next couple of days. Please message me either on here or via facebook if interested.

PS we might bring in a bag or two of sand for some added realism.....   if anyone knows of a camel we could borrow please let me know......

I have considered asking Sefton Council (the anti country sports Council) if it would be possible to use Southport Beach for a similar event. An ideal location, the tide only comes in once a month, flat as a pancake, hurricane force winds are a daily occurence and with 20 or so patio heaters strategically placed it would create the right atmosphere.  A short walk into the town would reward you with a prolific number of bars and restaurants and of course accomodation is in abundance too.  Promatic are conveniently situated to provide the equipment, clays and cartridges for the event. Trade stands could have a problem and any displays should be well fastened down (Paul O'Grady nearly lost his balls at the Open Golf). A further problem could be the dire lack of any Gunsmiths in the area but this could be overcome by having a supply of Miroku guns to be loaned when the 'K' or 'P' thing packs up. Non shooters could take the short bus or train journey into Liverpool where one can 'shop until you get dropped' or perhaps a boat trip around the Albert Dock (do ensure you have a life jacket). For those who feel that they would 'miss the plane journey' there is a small aircraft that will fly you over the Town for some exhorbitant sum (providing they do not need the engine for the lawn mower at the golf course, that is). No problems with the use and supply of alcohol, as long as it is NOT on the street. Language could prove an obstacle, but there are still a few English speaking residents left. So you see,  it could be the perfect venue for such a prestigious event. Just have to run the idea past the sponsors and of course the local Council. Still they did send 4 of their members (and Wives) to Florida to boost the Tourism back home ? (that worked well then !).

sounds ideal mate we just need investors

I too would be interested to know why Dubi is not on this year.
not so many people wanting go on holiday to the middle east so not quite so many billions to fritter away?

spent a fortune backing Saudi to bomb Yemen because oils worth nothing and there skint?

don't want a bunch of foreign crack shots bringing there guns into the country....not including myself there :)
