I smiled at the "corrosion resistance" part of the interview. Blaser R8 is one of the quickest rusting guns out there. Maybe different
with the shotguns.
For my taste Blaser is a bit overpriced for a 100% CNC machined gun. But they invested a lot into marketing.

To pop up the price to Perazzi and DT11 levels? That is all I can figure. I can clean the gun's action by taking the stock off and saving the coin for the upgrade.

Zoli offers that, too. But to be honest: How often did one change it´s trigger group on a DT or MX.

Only time I took out the trigger unit on my dt10 was when game shooting, keeping the trigger with me for security while the gun was in the car and I was at the after shoot dinner

Looking at the YouTube videos of factory visits, to my eye, the Blaser factory looks amazing.

Modern. Clean. High quality precision. Etc. Not to say others are bad, just that the Blaser set up looks top notch.

A gun made there is made really well and to a very high standard.

Thats where the cost is.

So I'd suggest CNC machined guns made to such high quality levels are worth their price.

I have two F3s.

They are both neutral, impersonal, almost emotionless bits of kit. Once I realized the best way to shoot them, was to forget them, I found them excellent guns - significantly better than the 694 I had before and the SL2 I recently shot - both of which had personality which requires a little understanding.

I am not for one moment saying that the above is good or would apply to all.

The FBX maybe different but I expect not. I expect it will be another 'marmite' gun. The F3 also had a few teething issues so i will wait to see how the FBX gets on and in any event I can't see it making any difference at my level of shooting.

I made the move to Perazzi last year. It definitely has personality. It took me a few months to finetune. But now I shoot better with it than with anything before.

I wonder if guns are like wine.

It's Ok saying "this wine is great" and "that's a classic" etc but we all have our tastes and finding one which ticks our personal likes is (much) more important. Often those personal choices can be much cheaper and, I would say, much more rewarding.

The nice thing about a P gun and what I also like about Blaser is that if bits break they can be replaced including the stock dims etc. I cannot really tell the different between my two F3s.
