My old blue beretta one is looking like it belongs to steptoe and son.

My 12 mth old beretta string vest type one is a tad too short, as are all the current models on offer from beretta, I have a long torso (amongst other things) so fit is important.

So any reccomendations for good quality trap vest with the following criteria or close

PS - tried a castelani string one last week was very nice and good fit but I dont want string as I need to keep my broken back warm.

Good quality

Good length (ahem)

Not ambidextrous (definately)

Not mesh (or at least not mesh on the back)

No rear pockets (definately)

Breast pocket (preferably)

Towel ring (preferably)

Would like a grey or black or something other than blue oh and defo dont want red.

In my opinion, Musto skeet vests are up there with the best of the best! A tad expensive but you pay for quality! :)

yes agree with that Rhbjones, been wearing one for 5years and it still fits comfy even with a few extra pounds!!!!  "might be stones actually" :D   1 would definately buy another next time.

There are some Fiocchi ones on their way.

Made by Castellani.

More than that I don't know at the moment.

This one's in red, but I suspect other colours will be available.  Whilst mine's not Fiocchi, it's ostensibly the same as the one I picked up at T.A.V. Cieli Aperti last month:

Good quality - tick

Good length (ahem) - tick

Not ambidextrous (definitely) - tick

Not mesh (or at least not mesh on the back) - well, not all of the back ;)

No rear pockets (definitely) - tick

Breast pocket (preferably) - tick

Towel ring (preferably) - tick - and two clips at the base of the strip of cotton running across the shoulders for your number for comps.
Edited to add the above info.

when they arriving, if they are solid back not mesh i am interested !

Best one i ever had was a Winchester one that i wore for years but tried it the other day and it appears to have shrunk since i last wore it 13 yrs ago, must be damp in my wardrobe or summat. :)

seems to me that the choice is somewhat limited unless you want string vest :(

Yes it is. Here's a couple of me in mine - note the amount of thick cotton across the shoulders and down the ribs - virtually the entire front right hand side is suede-leather, including the shell pockets, and it has a suede pocket over the left breast:

Liking the stone colour one

Oh didnt realise cheers will have a better look tomorow when i am on office pc cant see properly on me phone.

Cheers

As the first responder said MUSTO. Can't go wrong given what you describe in terms of what you want. A mate has spinal trouble due to a bike accident and swears by it... Too warm for me tho give me mesh Phew!

Cheers will check them out. Any particular model you recommend ?

I have just had a London Vest off Aaron Heading. Took about 6 weeks but no probs

And dealing with John his dad was a pleasure.
