Is that a solid one rather than string

No good then need solid. But nice vest.

Chris Potter does Castellani vests. I don't usually wear a vest but these are very good. From memory I think they do blue and green.

My string castellani came from Aaron heading I think a solid one(called Olympic I think) is still available. Have a word with John Heading he will sort you out mate! Be careful with sizes Ian, castellani sizes are true size so 40 will actually measure 40. So if you need room for a sweatshirt or jumper best go to next size up mate.

If I can help....

The London one is mesh back.

The red Fiocchi vest in the picture is the old one that may still be in production....I have had mine since 2007.... They are a strong vest but although mesh the back has a solid bit at the back from the waist upwards in a semi circle. I did not like it so took it off. It was some sort of support.

The new Fiocchi vests are made by Mr C and they are as difficult as hen's teeth to get. They are similar to the London vest but not the same and they have Fiocchi details on front and back....I have been waiting for one (and I am on their team  ).

All of Mr C's vests are comfortable to wear, they are made for shooters and have just what the shooter needs.

Hi Ian  -  don't know if this helps but I recently wanted a new shooting vest and couldn't find anything I really liked, so I took an old one to a local dressmaker who agreed to take on the project, confirmed the design I wanted, chose the colour scheme and materials, and had it made to measure.

She did a really nice job, completed in five weeks which included her being on holiday for 10 days, I got exactly what I wanted, and in the end it only costed a few more pounds than a top range off the peg vest !!!

Couldn't hurt to phone a couple of local dressmakers to see if they may be interested ?

Suits you sir :)

trouble is i need warmth on the base of spine due to my sciatica even the slightest draft in that area is a no no.

Shame cos there really nice but i dont think they do anything but string vest.

Ps looks like you had a great hols
try a neoprene kidney belt (bit like a warming version of a weight trainers belt) I used to use one on my motorbike rides, great bit of kit for keeping the lower back nice and snug, won't break the bank, then you can get a pretty string vest to shoot in :hi:

I wear on pretty much all the time mate, at work and shooting but not during sex as it chaffes the wife :)
