Just seen BBC News and they've picked up on the comments by this MP about the current handgun ban, the "news presenters" came across as implying he's lost the plot, as with all "gun" stories never let the facts get in the way, a bit of self righteous indignation seems the norm.

Will add as with all have deep sympathy with any victim of violent crime, however some of our gun laws are ill thought and have not / will not reduce the number of illegally held firearms in the UK and regrettably there will continue to be more victims
