So I shot two rounds today, about 180 carts.

After about 120 level, I my left shoulder starts to ache, when holding the gun up.

Gun is correct length obviously, recoil reducer, right handed.

I don't have my arm up like a wing.

Am I just a wuss or am I missing something?

Probably just a wuss i'm afraid.

I'd say that if there's no undue tension through the forearn and grip. ( putting the index finger along the fore end  like George Digweed does although it obviously works for him very effectivly only seems to put my arm in tension) it' s probably a muscle strength / Stamina thing.

I guess your gun will be 71/2 to 9 lb.a good proportion supported by the left hand

That is not an inconsiderable weight to lift a few times.

Hold a can of beans at arns length you will feel after a while  it starts to feel more than a few ounces.

I do do.

Yup, I point my finger and thumb along my trappy for end, with 3 fingers curled under...so to speak

Is this the first time you've experienced this?

It happened to me a few times when shooting a lot, without taking a short break between rounds.

When I take short breaks, I can easily shoot more than 400 without a problem.

No not the first time.

I suspect you are right, but tired and overdoing it...then shooting more than usual.  Food for thought

Some work to strengthen anterior and medial deltoid. ie man up!
As I suspected Rule 5

I am pretty strong and have a job that involves, climbing, lifting etc...so I'm not a 7 stone weakling, I'm more of a 15 stone wuss-ling it appears!

On reflection, I think it is a combination of work, not enough sleep and a few more targets than usual.

I never had the problem when I regularly shot 200+ skeet targets.

Need to come and see you King Ed (not until I can afford a K-Gun, that I will likely want though!) :)

But first you have to train more as K-guns are not the lightest ones :D

Weirdly, I never find them heavy.

Certainly, when you hold one, you notice how "solid' it is, but when you mount it (ooh er missus), they don't feel at all heavy...just right. :)
