As a novice not only do I not really know too much, I’m also aware that when missing, the chokes are probably the last thing causing the problem.

But I have to have something in, so…

I have a Baretta 686, SP sporter 1, bought new 12 months ago. I currently have the 5 notch in the bottom and the 3 notch in the top, shooting bottom first. I mainly shoot sporting clays, not skeet etc.

Is this okay for now, until I get good enough to appreciate the difference?

Change the 5 the a 4 will be a better choice
