Is it cheque only? Got everything together today and I cant only find info regarding cheques. Which is a pain as I don't have a cheque book.

Also, think this is my first post on here so hi all!

A cheque is probably the easiest way,if you have a building society account they should be able to give you a bankers cheque, which would be just as good.

The application form does not specify cheque and says that you can take it to your local police headquarters so cash might be an option.

There are still postal orders, money orders and similar available from Post Offices, Western Union etc where you pay for what you want by cash ans they give you a cheque payable to who you want for the amount of money you want.

Robert is right.

On anything other than a cheque I would take it in to the police hq and ask for a receipt.

BTW welcome :)

I only did mine today and dropped it into the police HQ and paid in cash, they didn't seem to have any problems with that if that's any help

Last time i did mine i dropped it into my local police station, only across the road. Paid cash and they give you a receipt, otherwise cheque is best.
