Your welcome Mark. How did you get on at Barbury today, I saw coming up the drive as we were leaving..
found it hard work to be honest over led everything ...my own fault as was out roost shooting last night for a few decoys for tomorrow. But enjoy my shooting whatever...ended on 72..you shot well again its holding top today well done.

but I do feel c chris or r faulds who is on fire at mo could put a 95 in..if weather is kind.

20-6 wales..well done

Hard work was a understatement Mark, there's a big score out there depending on the wind. It will be won on 95 96 I think. Well shot today..

27 - 6 now its all to play for BIG game for your boys tomorrow marmite with the emerald isle on a roll two from two , think which ever pack sets the platform will win it tomorrow as its a tight game to call ? what do you reckon lads ?

Good shooting white gold, good to see you continuing your top shooting and settling with the CG as you shot well with that italian fitasc drain pipe surprised you moved that on as you shot so well with it Julian .

Still got the drainpipe Gareth, just been suffering with a few recoil problems. The cg is ok, no recoil is the main reason I'm shooting it.

To many years bodybuilding have taking there toll!!

BLIMEY SOUNDS LIKE DANIEL SON AND MR MIYAGI

believe me if you turn up at a local 50birder and see mr keylock it aint gunna be easy!!!!! as for mr whitegold he's got it and soon he's going to find it!!!!!! very smooth so like the persona!!!!! MY HERO

How did it go today Mark / Gareth ? ...I thought my days was going to be a waste of time . When I got to the spot where the flight line was running at 9.30am I thought happy days..got kit out and started to walk down when suddenly I could hear shooting on the next field!

Someone had already set up a was going well so I decided not to be an arse and set up as I would of cut them off .

Drove round for a bit and couldn't find much moving so went and stood up by a clump of trees and by luck I managed to get a bit of sport , nothing fast and furious but some good shooting and some testing birds ...ended up with 42 :)

Full report coming robo only just got in mate, well done mate sounds like you had fun..

well we set off out at 6.45am  this morning i left gareth in a hide over the field from me ...things were slow his side off the field but for me i shot 20 birds in from 8am to about  9.30 ish .. :hunter:

around 12.ish i spoke to welsh wizard and he packed his kit up and i picked him up and we both shot from my hide..after a slow sell from 1pm the pigeons started to come in and we sterted to knock a down ...by 3pm we were shooting every 3 or 4 mins and having some good sport as wind was blowing strong from behind us and pigeons were whipping over trees and straight in decoys.

the magnet was the key player today as the bit of movement made them come in well..

nice sx3 robo, just ordered a rambo style raniero testa model. always fancied a multishot be ideal for the pigeons....
Very nice to shoot with and smooth on the cycling of next cartridge unlike the Beretta autos I tried which seemed very clunky to me .

I'm sure you will enjoy using your new Sx3 :)

Well done guys. Great report and brilliant pictures. You picked a good day for it too.

I love the one of Gareth standing and looking over the hide. Most people would be sitting. Is he really that short??

Well done lads seems like you all had a bit of fun, I was thinking about you this morning, weather was good for it, nice breeze, maybe a touch to bright this morning though.

Hoping to get to grips with some myself again soon

I'd rather shoot 50 ish pigeons compared to 250 average pheasants any day of the week

Got some big flocks of Canada's coming in on the **** about 400 ish when I looked at em though the binocs, ( farmers doing his nut )

Got the decoys ready to go first light in the morning along with a caller a mate made for me ( it's bloody deadly )

Last time out managed 24, all over by 8,30, must remember to give em more lead than you would think ( one flap of the wings carries them 9 ft through the air ) hard to miss em when they commit to the decoys like a pigeon, but easy to miss when they turn on to the wind after 1 st barrel goes off, great fun though, and could do with some bait for the harder to get foxes to come to

I've always said that I would take a days pigeon shooting over pheasant shooting any day Ashley ..good luck on them geese tomorrow mate .

Thanks robo, will post how it goes tomorrow night, just going upstairs to sort some appropriate shots for em,

The mrs has just gone out for a works do, ( free 3course meal, free bar all night, and I turned it down cos it will be late and want to be fresh in the morning

Thanks lads for your comments, the best thing for me today was my mate shortlegs at around 3.30 he was knackered but had the biggest grin as he killed a high bird in wind.

And robo ashley I am the same as you boys.. pigeon shooting to me is my no 1 sport...its my release.. that not knowing what is coming..

Ashley good luck tomorrow mate..

topdog yep he is that short...but the little bugger can shoot..ha ha

 I'm waiting hmm

Have to agree with you there Mark and thanks lads for the comments...  best thing for me to was your company :good:   the laughs and the sport we had made for a great day and I have to say thank you very much for the invite buddy its most appreciated .

Looks like you had some fun to Robo glad you got a few Hampshire poacher

I to feel the same as you lads that pigeon shooting is the No 1 pitting your wits against the crafty woody and using your field craft to set up hide and pattern to draw them in..they can present some of the best challenging shots you'll ever take and never be able to replicate with a clay .....

Best of luck today Ashley shoot well ...

Topdog I maybe short 5'4" but you know what they say " we're all the same size laying down "  look forward to meeting you some day will miss you at the classic as your shooting it Saturday with Ashley and Mark and I are shooting it on the friday perhaps you may come up for the white gold challenge ?

Hi Shortlegs, it clearly doesn't matter what height you are when you can knock those pigeons down like you do. Well done! Sounds like you had a great day.

Shame about missing you at The Classic. Don't suppose you guys would go to the SW Game Fair at Shepton Mallet next month?

Hi topdog  thanks  yes we did have a great day and lots of laughs too we had one blue bugger that we were convinced had a death wish as it came round about 4 times and we put lead all round it but he kept flying......   I did have a think about the game fair  it will depend on the weather possibly ?  :)
