Walking to the tractor/bus at windrush for the first stand of the classic with my cartridge bag etc. over my shoulder a shooting partner looked at me last minute and said gun?. Ummmm oh yeh, give me 2 mins ?

I always make sure i have a defined check stop within 10 mins of leaving home when going on a shoot

That way worst then can happen is a 20 min round trip to collect a forgotten item.

That said, forgotten my slip on numerous occasions at my local shoot .  (less then 10 mins away :) )

:santa:

Have forgotten the #gaffer's grab bag more then once,No vest, jacket, fleece, gloves etc.

Have forgotten to bring her gun, brought my lefty instead, still got a whupping,

She did the packing for the worlds this year and forgot her own stuff, not her gun or shells but we managed to borrow a vest from lost property.

Got to the airport once, actually in the queue for checkin and realised the tickets were at home on the sideboard, being a timely sort of chap i was able to go get them and make the flight.

I once left a shoot with my guns and the gun of another chap I had been ferrying around between drives during the day

I think you folks need to get involved in another war to reduce the apparent level of inbreeding.

just a thot

and speaking of dumbass - that would be "you're" and you're welcome   :poke:

Not shooting related, but I once managed to drive all the way to Manchester for a stag do straight from work and forget to pack a pair of jeans for the weekend....

Does that count??

That would be telling! ( I didn't)

I have also driven all the way to Bath to go to the spa and forgotten my swimming shorts. I ended up buying the only pair I could find on the way in - bright red ones like they used to wear in Baywatch.

Anyone that's seen my profile pic knows I ain't no Hoff....

Yep better they look at your shorts

Nope I can sympathize.

We (Lainy and I) fancied a low key shoot so decided to head to our friends ground Haughley Park in Suffolk for some sporting.

Its about an hour and half from home.

I had the kids so bought a picnic, packed chairs and stuff for the kids.

Its fibre only so swapped the shells in the RR from plastic to fibre.

Got everyone loaded and off we went. Traffic not bad so managed to get the foot down to save time.

Arrived said Hi to David and Nicola, paid our entries and wondered back to the car (which has an average mpg of 17!!) to gear up......................

Yep no guns.

Ate our picnic, Said goodbye to David and Nicola and drove the hour and half back home.

Ouch!

No, not really - just the people who own the politicians so they can make more $ to buy more politicians.

I refer to that candidate as Il Douche because of the way he gabbles, waves his arms around and makes faces like Il Duce did.
