Question on how you pay for application for shotgun certificate.

Hi all,

Apologies if this is a noob question, but I come from Cape Town where applying for a firearm license is very different.

My question is if you download the 201 application form for applying for a grant for a shotgun. When you send it in, how do you send the payment if you do not have any cheques? Can you do it with a post office money order? This is to apply in Glasgow, Scotland.

I would think the best plan is to ring them and ask. I've always found the firearms staff to be very approachable.

The other option would be to go into the bank that you bank with and ask them to make out a cheque to the relevant name/police force.  over the counter cheque within minutes

Afraid not, I don't think banks do such a thing any more.
