No bird on a rabbit? I'm new, but not even this rabbit was called a no-bird:

I've seen rabbits lay down and die but that usually means you're shooting them too late.

That looked an easy shot ................................. Not

who the f---k cares just shoot the buggers, rabbits or not, its called English Sporting, not  Tortuous Trap for anoraks !!

I was doing a bit of decoying over a field of maize stubble this morning and had a lovely incoming pigeon just as I pulled the trigger the bugger vered off to the left I called no bird but he would not come back and do it again.this shooting lark really is unfair.

I think a complaint to The Jury would be in order here!

Clearly the ref was looking the wrong way!

My advice is to make it official and take it to the County Committee.  :sarcastic:

P.S. Hope the rest of the morning went well.

Back in your box CC ...the complaint did not come from a trappy..just saying..!

I knew I had pictures somewhere showing a rabbit hit and one bouncing just as I fired this a couple of shots later on the same stand

Have never understood why rabbits are allowed in FITASC sporting. Every other target has all sorts of reasons why it would be called a no bird and corrrectly are called no birds if they deviate in any perseptable way, so that all competitors shoot the same targets within reason and then next target throw a rabbit and don't give a toss what happens! No sense at all.

Thats how to look after your customers! Be confrontational! Be abusive! Then when you have a shoot with 25 entries start to work out where they all went and why. Not your fault of course, no pleasing some people. Does have a familiar ring to it though……..wonder where from?

I do not know what you are seeing Wylye.....but the one i see simply says if you do not like the shoot...don't come. Nothing abusive or confrontational.  Perfect advice it seems to me. No idea where it comes from though....as it has been doing the rounds...probably from the US.....few of our grounds would speak so clearly....most would put up with anything for the money.

A very good friend and ex ground owner took the stance and was more than willing to tell them in front of everyone "if you dont like it then love off" not known for his tact or diplomacy but you know were you are thats for sure. I have got the that point many times with some of my clients I just cannot tolerate arses anymore :)

I didn't expect you to agree with me or even understand what this is about as you are obviously from the same school of marketing.

no problem and I do understa d your point but having been in business for 30 years and had 2 totaly diffrent business's in thzt time I can tell you that imo there is nothing more annoying than customers / clients and having reached a certain point in life I just cannot accept hassle from any of them I just tell them to use another company, one very good and very large national company tried it recently in an attempt to bully me into paying to be in there cartel or get no more work I was in a strong position as for reasons I cant go into no one else could do it for them so I told them to get to love, still here still doing there work, clients are sh*tes,

true story :)

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself? This is all so riveting and much more interesting than clay shooting. Have you ever thought of having your own website then you could talk about yourself all the time?
