Just wondered, did you leave the napier for 5 mins as well????Just got in from a partridge shoot this morning. I cleaned my Beretta in the normal way, with Napier and patches. Not much came out as I only fired a handful of shots this morning, after cleaning it last week.
Just as a test I soaked a patch with some Clenzoil and put it down both barrels and left it for 5 minutes.
When I then swabbed it out I was amazed how much muck came out. Pretty impressive stuff. I have also coated the gun with a thin film and like Jake, I will see how it fares long term during the game season when it get subjected to rain, hail, snow and mud!
Actually that's a point well made Mick.Just wondered, did you leave the napier for 5 mins as well????
Good Morning All,Actually that's a point well made Mick.
I will try that next time and see if there is a difference.
Why not just make her an offer she can't refuse? :.:Shelley when does the winter sale start ?
:.: You drive a hard bargain mate! :.:Les53,,,,,,I will take four bottles at half price, and if I'm not totally satisfied I will return it for what it would be fully worth, had it been on sale at the full price ten or more days in the previous six weeks. I would also like 48 months interest free credit with nothing to pay for the first year.
What do you say ? Think it will fly off the shelves now.
Hi there, were exactly are you experiencing this rust on your DT10L ??I've done my guns with it, but I want to see some long term performance, I have a DT10L that rusts easy, so we will see if its better than Napier.
Hi, on the trigger guard and anywhere my hands touch the raw engraved steel. I have a normal DT10 and this is a lot more resistant because of the nickel finish or whatever it is. I spoke to GMK about it asking why a more expensive gun rusts quicker and they said the steel needed to be like that for the fine engraving..? Mainly solved the problem with thin layer of grease, done it with the Clenzoil now so we'll see.Hi there, were exactly are you experiencing this rust on your DT10L ??
Just curious.
Do you do samples of that Shelley? Thanks for given Clenzoil an opportunity to shine.. may I just add some info on the grease?
- Our Hinge Pin Jelly (HPJ) is a completely unique product.
- There is no other grease available on the market which actively inhibits rust! Other greases will prevent rust because they form a seal over the surface and so prevents air from getting in, however once they have been removed from the surface it will start to rust again.
- Because our Hinge Pin Jelly contains an active rust inhibitor, it will prevent rust EVEN when it has all but been removed from the surface.
- Hinge Pin Jelly is so EFFICIENT, only a tiny amount needs to be used on hinges, chokes and firing pins ect.
Hope that helps explain why you'd have nothing to lose in trying it and evening to gain with problems such as Jake has had.
Shelley
