I, like about 200 others, shot at Weston Wood last Sunday (1st); I noticed that the scores are yet to appear on the CPSA site. I'm only querying this as they are normally there within a few days.

Do they start holding scores back in the run up to classification time to avoid people fixing their shooting a bit to stay in a lower class?

Don't know the answer to that, but I did the ESP at Purbeck on the 28th and that one's still missing.

I wouldn't put it down to anything clever, merely a backlog. But it is massively frustrating to shoot a registered competition and then have to wait all that time to find out what everyone else scored. Purbeck post a list of the Class winners, but that's all.

End of classification period, it's always the same. Scores are likely to be slow appearing for the next few weeks, especially anything after the end of October.

it happens for various reasons usually clerical error by ground it will appear eventually

Its an automatic download from the internet if the ground submits the scores. Untouched by human hand!

oh didn't know that. Should be no delay then ?

My AGL score from 31 October isn't showing yet either.

I enquired with CPSA HQ the other day (Thursday) to confirm if they had scores from Barrow Heath's shoot last weekend (1-11-2015), they confirmed that they received them on Monday (2-11-2015) & due to being short staffed in the office there was some delay in processing the scores.

the issue displayed on the cpsa scores web page is from 1st Nov 2014 up to and inc 31st October, your 1st November comp wont be displayed until the next issue is up and running, as for your question regarding persons "fixing their shooting to stay in a lower class" never have understood why anyone would deliberately behave in such a manner nor to that matter do I think I've ever seen nor heard of anyone actually doing so, seen poor shooting yes but was it deliberate, no I think not

Why is this is so staff dependent? Didn't the membership fork out a pile of cash for automated software?
