None really, cheap new sxs don't exist.. Buy the no4 and spend the extra money using it! 486 is about the cheapest, heavy though.. Plus once you get used to it double trigger is much better. What cheap new ss with single trigger are worth a look. Might be going to shooting show near Warwick in Feb so may have a good mooch about there
double trigger looks hard work particularly if your swapping between that and single. Or is it ??.None really, cheap new sxs don't exist.. Buy the no4 and spend the extra money using it! 486 is about the cheapest, heavy though.. Plus once you get used to it double trigger is much better.
cheers will look into the winnyIps you could look at the winchester model 23 which has a pistol grip stock, single trigger with a beaver tail fore end not sure you'll find a new one but most are 28" barrels choked 1/4 & 1/2 think there a a few on gun trader failing that you won't go far wrong with an AYA but may have to adjust to double triggers
fabarm beta lux are nice don't know if they still make them. What cheap new ss with single trigger are worth a look. Might be going to shooting show near Warwick in Feb so may have a good mooch about there
I have shot OT with a SS live pigeon gun, it kicked the bejesus out of me but was funJust think after playing at game shooting you can screw in 3/4 and full and go and shoot some trap.
I haven't found it to be, it's surprisingly natural to me and MUCH faster than barrel selector, very easy with a straight hand stock. I find that the sight plane reminds me whether I am using single or double trigger.double trigger looks hard work particularly if your swapping between that and single. Or is it ??
interesting. Spose we wont know until we try. I have dealt with the smith for over thirty years and spent a huge amount I therefore enjoy an excellent relationship with him and can return any used gun for full refund if its not suitable. So the no4 is still on the listI haven't found it to be, it's surprisingly natural to me and MUCH faster than barrel selector, very easy with a straight hand stock. It willl take you a couple of goes to get used to but then so would anything else that you aren't used to, once you used to it I think you will be surprised how natural it feels, I prefer shooting my no3 over both of my ou and I paid 200 quid for the no3 and spent 30 refurbish the wood.interesting.
