I'm up in North Wales this weekend so will try to get out to Leadbrook Hall Shooting Ground for their shoot on Sunday. It's not a registered but its a new ground so should be fun.

Has anyone shot there and able to give an insight as to the standard of targets?

220 at Gunsite in a 3 hour window, 12 stands, no wonder long queues, lots of trap filling, frayed tempers.

I did the FITASC at Southdown today. Very good shoot, although it was almost all long crossers and loopers. I rarely shoot FSP and was so out of it at the start, dropping 10 targets on the first two hoops, before straighting the third. Then our second Parcours was just plain tough, so that didn't go well either.

A better end to the day, with a couple of 22's. Got going too late though.. Very enjoyable on a cold crisp sunny day. Tired now..

The only time I ever shot Fitasc I slipped up badly at the start but made good eventually, like all disciplines it needs a mentality all its own.

The gun down bit is alien to me to start with. I can do it fine, but it breaks my approach and movement until I suss it..

I dropped 2 birds purely because I had forgotten the sequence and yes the gun down doesn't help because if you shoot a lot of ESP it takes a bit of adjustment to hold the gun unnaturally low.
