Only annoyed me the extent that 70 looks so much nicer than 69 on a scorecard, but I will make sure I check next time.

Barrowheath today 83 which iam happy with as I've shot rubbish lately. Had to change style and shoot very fast as anything I have time on I miss.
Might be worth trying to get there 5 minutes before entries close, that'll hurry you up and raise your heart beat too.

Had a wobbly day at Horne, decided to do more registered shoots after doing very little shooting over the last year or two. Straight one stand then cock up the next two then straight again then more waving the barrels around fruitlessly, then some poor chap got a wad jammed up against a loose choke ( he got away lightly ) then another straight followed by abject misery, man I've missed my shooting.?

That's a coincidence, we had a guy in front of us with a duff cartridge that went phut and left the wad in the barrel.  Fortunately we had a cleaning rod in our bag to lend him to clear it out.  He'd never had it happen before, but I've seen it several times in the last few years.

This poor sod had to hammer his choke out with a screwdriver. Made my bum twitch, so I kept tightening my chokes and looking down the barrels for the rest of the day.

I've had a fixed choke gun for four or five months now.  Only just got out of the habit of reaching for the end of the barrel when I come out of a stand to see if the chokes are still in tight.

Went down to Owls Lodge today and had the usual great breakfast.

Oh, yes.. also did the reg shoot they had on. Started very well but then dropped a bunch in three stands close together! One was actually tough, while the others were fast edgeys; a touch tricky for me to see in winter sunshine. Nearly did well.. same thing different day. ?

Looks like awful weather tomorrow so dreams of doing Four Counties and / or Weston are drifting away..

When you are £70 worse off and looking like a drowned rat tomorrow at midday, probably with a shabby score, remember I'm home and smug in the warm and dry. ?
My prediction is that it will be dry just after ten at WW then just after 1 at Newbury....off to test that theory shortly!

William,  the rain was there but on and off and hardly noticed it.  Was £100 UP as I collected our winnings and the scores were not too shabby 83/100 and 77/100.?  These are my two scores and nearly forgot I managed to shoot a tree at close range at WW on a rather tricky sim pair.

Well if you will insist on shooting within a class where it's actually possible to win money, you will have nice days out! ?

Owls Lodge on Saturday which saw a rusty start but recovered for a 'meh' 73/100.

Sunday morning saw a dash to Four Counties where I felt rushed and it all fell apart. There was no reason for the rushing so not sure why I felt that way?! 66/100, only mention it for transparency!

Then off to Weston Wood where I put in my third ever registered score in the 80's. quite pleased with it. Only missed 5 clays out of the final 58. Just a shame I had a couple tricky stands to really hurt the card early on.
