Looking ahead to this Sunday I see Barbury have a 100 ESP REG on called the Wiltshire Sporting Challenge. Never shot there and its less than an hour away from me so quite tempted. Only thing putting me off is they don’t seem to do many REG shoots and last ESP was 250+ entries which sounds like a lot of queuing to me especially with it being bank holiday weekend. I know the Barbury Challenge was a bit marmite reading the reviews on here.

Other option for me is Widdington.
I think its the county shoot isn't it?  Could be busy but actually there are quite a few shoots on this weekend so may not be as busy as their challenge was.

Barbury's last reg was a selection shoot so it was always going to be busy, but to their credit they set up about 15 or 16 stands so the waiting times weren't life threatening. Weather looks good and lots of people will do the Barbury/Widdington double so both likely to have a good turnout.

It says 12 stands this time. I think I will do them both starting at barbury as first cards at 9am then do Widdington after.

So much on in the south this Sunday. Barbury, Valley View, Weston Wood, Widdington. Then Monday it's Horne GB and Southdown!
Don't forget Thurs Owls, Fri AGL then Sat you can have a lie down and I'll be at AC Sporting Targets then Sunday Valley View and Westonwood and then Monday Southdown (I'll be doing the ESP and Sportrap) see how time goes then may be Horne.

I so wish I was your cartridge supplier. ?

I admit I'm shooting more than ever lately. Should have 95 reg shoots on the list by end of the period. Nowhere near you of course..

See you at AGL..

We will be at Barbury to start shooting at nine join us if you wish.

I shot the challenge and was finished by 10.10am so not busy first thing all the refs are out and ready to go by 9.

We will also be going on to Widdington

If all goes to plan for me it's AGL Friday, Dartford Sunday and Horne Monday. I'll be squeezing in the last shoot of the Kent and Sussex Clubman League in between those on Saturday.  It's being run by Woody on here. Open to all, not far from Hastings if anyone fancies it.

Thanks for the kind offer but I actually like shooting around on my own as means I can get around quickly and not think too much about what I am doing.

Anyone know if AG&L is fibre only for reg sporting shoots?

Thanks

I'm ref'ing and shooting Valley View on Sunday then looking for something on BH Monday. Never been to Horne, could give it a go.

AGL today in perfect sunny weather. A nice course, but if I was the course setter I would have turned the two easiest stands into a couple of belters. Zero wind made it a tad easier than it looked perhaps. I shot in a very messy way indeed and still managed 92. 5 misses were total sloppiness.

Our first time at AG&L today, and Harry and I both enjoyed it getting our personal best scores to date. Harry on a 78, which is 10 more than his previous best!
