Right - I've had a ton of messages asking me to:

1. Lock this thread as its a bad advert for the site

2. Remove the thread (ditto)

3. Ban users on both sides of another stupid/futile argument

Its always the same people at the centre of every argument, and the same people that derail the threads.

So - I'm going to do something different this time - I'm locking the thread, and then I will be removing every post on the thread that doesn't relate directly to the original discussion.

I do not believe that conversations in real life stay on topic - people digress and go on a tangent, that's what makes conversations interesting - but here, it seems that people cannot be trusted to talk without generating arguments.

The thread will be back online later today.

FOR REFERENCE - this thread currently contains 208 posts including this one, lets see what it looks like when I remove all the crap.

Thanks everyone for distracting me from real work, and holidays with my family, we now more members lost to this crap, more advertisers saying "no thanks, I don't want to be involved with your forum due to the grandstanding, hectoring, lecturing", and more work for someone runs the forum at his own cost to provide a service.

I will be revamping the rules and guidelines of the site next week, and adding some more moderators to help run the site - its too big for me on my own now.

I'm hoping that I didn't remove anything that stops the thread reading in order - its a tall order to try and do that. If so - feel free to flag it to me and I'll see what I can do.

I know both Westward and Nic so it bemuses me that they are locking horns like this, they have both done so much for the sport and I have seen the differences they have made. Nic has supported Westward at regional level as have I, so I'm not sure why there is this animosity (sh*t spelling) Get back to doing what you are both so good at and that is being caring people with hearts of gold. Agree to disagree and move on please.

No animosity from me. I only discuss fact on any subject to do with NGB's.

Even the most patient dog when kicked several time might turn around and bite.

Hopefully the air is cleared by Matts final intervention and we can carry on discussing topics with those who are interested in the subject matter.

Hmmm just realised I might be mistaking Westward for someone unrelated, well I have just got married and spent my weeks honeymoon in be with Man Flu so thats my excuse, oh and Westward you are still a valuable member of the shooting world even if I mistook you for someone else. All shooters together.
