There's a small team of us going to shoot Hodnet tomorrow if anyone fancies a meet-up?

Either post below or PM me for hook-up details.

Right, now off to Fauxdegla for a shoot this afternoon :D

Would love to, but Iv'e gotta work and then off to see a hip consultant, one of mine is bu**ered and needs sorting! have a great time in the snow, cheers, Growl

Good luck with the hip.

One of the reasons for coming on your challenge is that my left hip replacement op is on Tuesday 19th March so I wanted to get in a decent last shoot before being laid up for a bit.

Should be a good weekend as retirement party on Friday night, shoot Saturday and last day at work Monday and then Hip Op on Tuesday!

I am having mine done at Exeter Nuffield by a surgeon called Timperley.

Exeter Nuffield? Timperley?

He posts on here as Timps!

Unable to walk since a hip replacement went wrong, he now rides a motor cycle everywhere!

That is some coincidence!

I see that Craig Timperley on here is from Bury.

I'm pleased to hear he's not going to be my surgeon but sorry to hear that his went wrong!

I wonder if they are related?

Must be another of his online degrees.

Craig as a hip surgeon? :ermm:

Yes that's a new one on me and so is the fact I had a hip replacement, the fact this imaginary hip replacement  went wrong and that I am unable to walk also is new to me as well. I am worried to get up from my desk to make a brew  in case it’s true.

I wish the riding motorcycles everywhere was true but that’s not either as I sold my last bike a couple of years ago.

I did break my leg racing motorbikes  but had rods and pins inserted, but no new hip and nothing ever went wrong with the opp and never had a problem walking anywhere since.

How you finding the colostomy and breast augmentation Craig?
The colostomy is playing havoc with my DTL as I am unable to wee down my leg now... The breast augmentation was at first fantastic but I find myself playing with them too much and now suffer from RSI which means I need a controversial release trigger to overcome.

:prankster:

Timps, just used your name and avatar to try and put the fear into Robert.

I guess he quickly sussed you were not is surgeon, but does he know that you are 'Chards love child?

Good luck and a swift recovery Robert, I will have mine (I expect) at the Newcastle (Staffs) Nuffield by Mr Griffiths, just got to decide when, we have horses and at the moment thats a fair bit of work to expext the missus to do while I recover, may have to try and delay until the neddies are out in better weather (end of March) be good to see you at the Growler, cheers.

Who's going and at what time please?
Sorry I missed this reply Sal - me and a couple of the lads from Worsley - we had a great shoot (first time shooting there for two of us). And bought a gun. Second time I'd bought a gun from Tom at Hodnet. Stellar price for a Beretta 687. The pattern on it's just incredible. Utterly smoking (and I mean vaporising) the clays. REsult all round.

Aha, training for Saturday then Bren?????

So did you better 91? on Saturday.

I wish Sal! Being a relative new shooter, I managed a 45 - a mixture of schoolboy errors and not having any form of routine worth a toss :D

Will deffo be going back to Hodnet though after their refurbishment - they tell me they are effectively doubling the size of the members'  hut and all main amenities, which gives you some idea of the confidence they have in their product and expectations of the their intended customer base of shooters.

Bren,

Don't wait that long before you revisit, there is open practice every Tuesday afternoon, The Cheshire Shield in March and the Benelli in May.
