Surely everybody knows it's the angle of the vector sum of target forward velocity (Vx), and lateral velocity (Vy)

The slip angle,

is defined as

Of course!!!!! How silly of me to forget that one!!!!

Is there an app for that?  I want to load it in my iGlasses.

I was hoping that someone would help out with "curl", since I know that slip hardly ever occurs in isolation.

Slip stuff is really useful for spot  landing sailplanes as by side slipping you can lose a lot of altitude pretty quickly without stalling.

I'm back now. Ballathie Hotel on the Tay. Not telling you what estates. Someone tried to bribe the piper of the new salmon fishing season to stop playing the bloody thing in at first light this morning. As Wonko says clays go so far because they ride on a cushion of air where either side of the trailing edge being lower causes the flight path to show a preference to that side. Nothing unusual to a sporting shooter but ground owners for trap can adjust their traps to eliminate it. The clay veers away from the original line of flight.
