Emmsy, I have yet to meet a shooter who has had their perazzi triggers lightened? Its well known in the trade that perazzi has the finest trigger pulls in competition guns unlike Krieghoff. :fie:

I will agree with that known fact.
There are other known facts ...

Beretta triggers are very good

the barrels do not come un soldered

the stocks don't crack

the trigger springs don't break

Because of the above Beretta users do not need to carry

spare stock

spare trigger

spare barrels

TRUE STORY :)

Hiding under my office desk as we speak :)

they just carry the entire matching set of gloves, towel, skeet vest, gun slip, cap and range bag because beretta owners lack personality :)

Or perhaps they are just trendy??????   :music:

True me old pal, but there is one in the wardrobe as a spare somewere :)

No Emmsy, Its you thats the FOOL, I seriously doubt that there is ANY gun that leaves the factory with trigger pulls under 4lb! unless you have proper trigger gauges you cannot comment! ask a gunsmith.

From the Alan Rhones Krieghoff web site for the K80;

Trigger
Single selective mechanical trigger, adjustable for finger length.
Trigger pull: Approximately 3.3/4 to 4lbs.
Optional Release Trigger available

3.3/4 to 4lbs is a lot closer to 4lbs than 3lbs  but! a lot of Krieghoffs are susceptible to double discharges! I wonder why? :fie:   :fie:

Simple answer, get it checked if its around 4lbs forget about it and concentrate on shooting !

Couple years ago I was putzing around at the bunker.  Derek Partridge and a buddy of his were there.  We got to talking about pull weights and I mentioned that I didn't  have a clue what mine were.  Derek pulled a gauge out of his car and did the deed on my gun.  4.5/5lbs bottom/top.  He said that was about right for stock triggers and didn't need fixing.  The rest of them feel enough the same that I can't tell the diff.  And like I mentioned before the one that'd had a trigger job to lighten was unshootable for me.

So, once again, shoot what you like.  But starting at 3lbs sounds like a really bad idea to me.

JMO of course

Charlie

Personally i believe creep or rather no creep is more important than trigger weight.

I think you have a point but it does depend on the person too, having owned dozens of airguns from an early age many of which have extremely fine quality triggers you get used to wanting a light break. I agree 3 lbs would perhaps be too light as a rule but I'd prefer that to 5 lbs.

:nyam:  Wonko, the next time you see Derek Partridge ask him if he remembers shooting trap in the early 70's at the Blandford and Dorchester Gun Club in Dorset England,  derek was an actor on TV in black and white, he went to California if I remember?
