Who's purchased what items for this seasons claying.

I've invested in a cartridge pouch on a belt so I don't have to shoot in a skeet vest when its blazing hot, quite fancy just shooting in a t shirt this year at times, so for £20 I thought it was worth a try.

Whats everyone else picked up?

For some reason I find that my light coloured shirts pick up marks on the shoulder/sleeve part of the right shoulder when wearing sleeveless skeet jackets so as much as I like the idea of a pouch it isn't ideal. Quite like the look of the new Musto light skeet vests so will be getting one soon as my current Beretta one won't wash clean anymore !

I bought a new multi pocket cartridge bag thingy last week which seemed OK but for a slight balance issue as it tips over with little effort.

Oh god! Where do I start?

Admittedly I am newish so I needed to buy the kit anyway. Here goes.

Obviously a shotgun

Barbour featherlight jacket

Barbour fleece gilet

Musto jacket

Musto skeet vest

Macwet gloves

Le Chameau wellies (after freezing feet)

Couple of baseball caps

Tweed flat cap (must have)

Beretta gun slip

Beretta cartridge bag

Pelctor sportac's

Pilla Outlaws (amazing)

Prescription inserts for above (Ed Lyons)

1000's of cartridges

And a few lesions

I am not even going to try and add a price to all that as its £££££, but with anything i do its important for me to have good quality kit that lasts. And it's probably best to spend a few quid extra for good kit than spend twice. IMO

Hammy, clean your gun! :)

I need some shoes that are comfortable on rocky pathways etc., but are cool enough for the summer.

Mrs fuz bought me one of these pouches http://www.midwayuk.com/epages/Midway_UK.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Midway_UK/Products/597106&ff_pos=12&ff_origPos=12&ff_simi=97.28&ff_TrackGUID=5182D91F-CD5A-3613-9672-1414141B0725

Best thing ever, doesnt pull down on the shoulders like a vest and goes on my normal belt through the trouser loops, good for pigeon and game shooting too rather than fumbling with a belt or having a heavy bag over the shoulder and the elastic loops on the side can have a towel hanging for clays or somewhere to hang your priest for the live stuff :D  Still carry my cartridge bag but thats for top ups.

Green pad very good so far, Easyhit to try and manage a Left eye dominance issue - first comp this weekend will tell if it stays for the English next week.

  You'd think it would be that simple, the only bit in contact is the recoil pad and I've tried wiping the whole rear bits with wet wipes but no luck. It seems the harsh recoil pulse is responsible, time to change the sorbothane to an Isis green pad.

Thanks, but the open sections will let muck in from dusty paths etc. I never shoot in shorts either after getting nettled one day. Plus it reminds people that they need a couple of pints of milk.

Pouch on order, for the same reason.

I was going to get a couple new 1/2 chokes, but the 1/4's seem to be welded in, so sod it!

Got an MK38 sporter from the wife (birthday pressie) and the requisite green pad for it, and a warm & waterproof shooting jacket.

Not forgetting the obvious - cartridges.

I just got another Mirook to keep the other one company!

Got a new Beretta SV10 30" with extended HP chokes but still not comfortable with it so keep getting old faithful 28" 682 Gold out of the cabinet and she's shooting like a demon :hunter:
