I have no clue about your mount, stock length, shoulder position, stance, little finger placement or ear lobe tension... i can just say, you're very brave to put a picture of yourself in action on here! :)

First up, i wouldn't trust a £10 set of scales. Secondly, there's two arguments to the sampling of cartidges. In a totally different "sport" that has limits on velocity of the projectile, three samples are taken (shots fired) and if the average of the three exceeds the limit you are DQ'ed.

Realistically, it's massively unlikely UKAD are likely to waste their time and resources turning up to a local shoot but in principle they could and would have the right to test you as their remit covers anyone partaking in sport in the UK. As i say though, i would be amazed if they would waste...

I've found myself with some time to spend tomorrow morning after I finish work in Reading and before I drive to Woking.  I was thinking of heading over to Bisley Pay and Play but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions for a shooting trip? Many thanks in advance.

If fixing to a stud wall and studs are too far apart to drill into both, find studs, screw a piece of ply to both, fix cabinet to ply (and to one stud). Best bet is to do it inside a built in wardrobe or cupboard and put ply across whole width (and height) of one wall so it can't be crowbarred...
