BITCSF COMPAK 8th - 9 th June.pdf

Also just heard that there are a few places available for this on the Sunday - as well as some decent prizes up for grabs, including a gun.

In addition, the 100 Sporting is also on the cards, sponsored by Porsche.

Shortlegs - deffo will be there early, will see you for a tea.

just looked at the squads and see we have the dreaded expert on our squad :fie:   ! and this could be a long day by the times last layout 4.30 oops    best take plenty of cartridges in case fancy shooting the sporting in between :hunter:

Cheers Matt see you there !

"Dreaded Expert" oh do warn, all the very bet you guys and gals there this weekend, as for me no shooting, as at present sat in athletics grandstand, boy is in county track championships, quite scenic at times though.

How did it go today short legs and crew? When someone can a review of Barbury would be good, its got potential that place. Weather excellent in Cheltenham and probably also at Barbury, as for boy he qualified for the final with a PB and came a more than respectable bronze, big cheesey grin(s) all round, now if only his dad could get a third spot at a shoot!!

He He how was the Webbmaster

Shot this today with a great squad. Weather was sunny but cold! Luckily Tony Manvell had set up his stall and had suitable long sleeve tops available! So on to the shoot...

Started on CCI (behind the clubhouse), outside the stands all the targets looked ok, watched Matt Hance, Will Thatcher and Co do an ok job, only letting a few silly ones slip, then it was our turn. Targets were all killable, some of the sim pairs caused the odd brain fart and miss but hey ho, finished on 20 ex 25!

On to the 2nd layout, Barbury and the acoustic release, the squad in front was a 5 man squad and this did cause a little confusion but was quickly rectified and so we went in. 2 rabbits, one fast and close left to right crossing, the second quartering in from the top field before falling down a bank, shot 22 here and was happy with that.

On to Hull, wont go in to details but shot 25 straight, a perfect straight using 25 shells :) so very pleased with that and on to the Porsche layout, again all the targets are killable with a nasty hanging driven target that stalled and then slid off to the right and dropping, quite horrible, managed another 22 here and was pleased with that.

Finally on to WSRG (WRSG cant remember!) 3 testing targets here, a fast quartering/crosser from the left, quartering battue from the right and fast, you get it as the first target in stand 5 where the battue is edge on to you! And finally, a going away target starts behind you, seemed to catch a lot of people out in the pairs on stand 5, finished here on a 24 for a total of 113, which I was happy with, not as happy as Adam Cork though!

Great ground, ran very smoothly for us and in fact was running 30 minutes ahead of schedule, so enjoy :)

good report there and well shot maddmatt looking forward to it tomorrow .

Shot this yesterday with some very good shooters, i gather the aim is to make the compak more like the european events, having never shot a in europe i cant comment

Everything ran on time although personally the breaks in between were too long for me, last parcour was at 4.30pm.targets were ok can probaly see this won on a 98 if the wind is kind, i however started ok in the morning and dropped umpteen silly shots in the afternoon, a day best forgotten performance wise

Lovely ground with friendly staff, good luck to all those shooters shooting today, oh and good grub so no need to bring your own

Shot this today met up with tiptop, jem and Ed,  lord Pewsey failed to show hope your not under the weather to long Tony, good ground with a good variety of targets and a great squad to shoot round with. Started on CCI 21/25 then onto Barbury had a little wobble 16/25 ( Bloody rabbits..! ) made a bit of a recovery on hull 21/25 then had a total melt down on Porsche 11/25 onto Wiltshire rod&gun and ended on 22/25 so all in all a very enjoyable day with great company, still trying to work out what happened on Porsche :banghead: Doooh. Only gripe was the break between each layout being to long and the timing's as we got to the first layout at correct time on sheet from club house to find it was running 30mins in front and we had not been informed the squad that we were supposed to watch to see the targets had all but finished and the ref wouldn't show us any of the targets which with simo pairs put us all at a disadvantage but was pleased to come out with the 21 !

Look forward to shooting with you boys again..... :good:

Oh and the other gentleman was  quite quiet Fuz

Enjoyed today, good targets and great squad to shoot with. The only downside was the timing of the squads between parcours bit of a cock up.
