You Gotta be Outta your mind - Sporting Clays by Ty Adams Gil and Vicky Ash.

If anything, I know I can hit 90% of presented targets out there now.  Getting my head in order is what I believe is the next step to gaining a few extra on my card.  I am in 'A' Class and want to be in AAA.  I'll take a look a the Chris Batha book as well.  At any one time I am reading several books which are positioned rather strategically throughout the house!

Cheers!

Morning Jeremy

The Brain training company really floats my boat and I'd love to take their course.  I'll contact Henry Hopkins and see what he says regarding schedules as time out during weekdays is difficult for me with current work constraints...........

Work 8-( ........

.....time I was a multi-millionaire I reckon!

Ha! I can hit 100% of the targets I'm presented. buggered if i can work out why I only hit 8/10 of them though! :)

Well since my faithful Labrador Mac regularly retrieves clays with pellet holes in them (obviously all of mine that he has seen and determined they were runners of course),  and added to the fact that I shout and throw my empty shells in the bin when a clay escapes from me (the one which Mac has earmarked for the retrieves apparently), I then go into a Geordie rant and miss the next bird out!

I reckon thats how I hit only 8 out of 10, when, if Mac only retrieved said 'winged' bird a bit quicker, my temper would have subsided and I would be able to add the remaining targets to my scorecard.

Not sure how the CPSA looks upon this but I might give them a prod!!!

you should get target again plus an extra point for mac's excellent gundog work ?

11/10....or 110/100!

Yup! Thats Clay shooting for me from now on!  About time I won something!!!

I once (and I mean once as well), missed 3 driven birds at my club......Upon turning around, there was old Faithful with 3 clays all stacked in his chops, and a rather amused and lively team in hysterics at the fact he managed to pick the bird I missed, and then proceed to stack it on top of the following 2 and bring them all back to me!

He has his drawbacks as well..........

lovely that mate ?

incidentally your washing machine has reminded me. My cocker thinks she is a working gundog plus assistance dog as the clever little sod has learned how to open the washing machine door and remove my socks etc, she has not yet learned how to hang em on the line or iron them but were working on it ?

WP_20160318_12_58_35_Pro.jpgwhy did you wake me just to take a picture ?

Cockers!  Awesome little characters they are.

My Brother has 3 in the house that he works all shooting season up in Northumberland.  He is now head picker up on several estates.  His dogs are trained to a very high standard and what little characters they are.  Always wanting to please!  His little black one "Swift", prefers Bra's apparently.  How he manages to get into the drawers upstairs is beyond the pair of them, but get in he does.  Doesn't chew them, just merrily retrieves them! Ha!  Funny as owt!

She's a bonny little thing chap.  Though that expression appears to more of

"Why'd you wake me????? Are we going shooting"!!!!!!????

let me out, I wont steal your socks again I promWP_20150725_11_51_56_Pro.jpgise

ha, mine will retrieve anything on command. Letters from Mr postie, my slippers. She used to eat stuff like socks but the embarrassment of Mrs ips having to pull one out that got stuck in her backside put a stop to that ?

That face says it all! Ha Ha!  Funny little characters.

Pics of Mrs IPS removing an sh1tty sock would have been priceless!  Aww Haw Haw!

indeed it would she was not amused in fact I think it haunts her to this day ?
