I have been trying 24 gram Cheddite cartridges at the 'new' price of £177 and have been very pleasantly surprised.
Are those the smart strike cartridges ? They are starting to be seen quite a lot down here.I have been trying 24 gram Cheddite cartridges at the 'new' price of £177 and have been very pleasantly surprised.
Very very popular down here and to be honest if I could buy them locally I would consider using them they are €165 down here.I have been buying Rio Target 28 gram @ £160 through a 3rd party that's putting a few quid on i cannot grumble at that they are a good shell
They are just called Universal Trap from what I can see. They are a horrible green coloured case, which is packed in a yellow and white box. They have switched to these from Express at the local ground, as they are also available in 21 grams, and they are pretty good too !Are those the smart strike cartridges ? Probably the shells, if it was me, I would shoot brilliantly EVERY WEEK !Every gun will pattern different with any cartridge, its only experience and your own trials that you will come to know what works best for you and the gun. So saying one is better than another is something that can never be resolved can it ! if you shoot well on a day was it the brilliant shells ! or was it you !!
I have no idea although they are very soft. The mind boggles as to WHAT the TT refers to Sian, I suppose it means they are 'low recoil' ?
That's it, another lie down !I have no idea although they are very soft.
Yes but what if you were shooting budget shells it puts a doubt in your mind in trap disciplines and its your mind that gives you the edge !" if you shoot well on a day was it the brilliant shells ! or was it you !! "
The exclamation marks should be question marks however those are good questions. I would like to think that the way cartridge manufacturers test their product would at least give some idea of uniformity across a range of guns ... but I would not bet on it!
To the questions. I like many I suppose watch some really excellent shooters every week shoot competitions in mainly excellent weather and light conditions so there is no need to claim bad weather. One week they will break 98from100 UT targets and the next 95 the next again 96 the next again even a 93! I have never ever heard a good shot walk off and blame missing four or five targets on bad cartridges and these guys are shooting the same cartridges every weekend. Which for me indicates that the man shooting the gun is far more influential in what happens to the target than the cartridge he takes out of his pocket to shoot it... regardless of the cost. That fact is even more important for nearly every shooter contributing on this forum who by and large are shooters looking to improve their own performance.. to suggest that buying expensive cartridges may in some way help them in their quest is quite frankly delusional .
Just an excuse to put them upSo the current euro/£ exchange rate (1.16) is 11% lower than pre-Brexit rate (1.30) so they put cartridge prices up by 18%. F*cking ridiculous.
The most it (£) went down was 15% and its been gaining value ever since.
Didn't notice prices dropping when the euro/£ rate went up to 1.44 last November.
Think I'll be looking for a cheaper cartridge.
