Shoosh don't tell evryone, was trying to stay deep undercover!! ;)

i do not believe that sort of information would be available at county level and i did email HQ requesting a breakdown of the costs.

From what i can see county comittees seem almost completely disconnected  from HQ in any normal sense of structure and HQ offer very little if any support to the county, everything within the county is organised by the committee and financed within the county from what i can see they work hard at it giving there time and in some cases there own money to ensure the best experience for our countys' shooters.

then again i'm a newbie and maybe there will be a revelation of the masses of support they offer behind the scenes.

if you are a Dorset CPSA member Les i would be more than happy to raise the question on your behalf if you requested me to do so,though i feel a more direct approach would be more likely to yeild any information hence my email as i would like to be able to answer questions when asked.

i know this may go completely against normal CPSA policy but i do believe there should be full transparency for members to see exactly how there money is spent from my point of view as a CPSA member if they can spend that much on a database they can spend a tiny little bit more to make the full information available.
I used to be on the Dorset committee Mark. As for mails to hq, well I got fed up with trying!

"Aaaaha Mark ehhhh? Nearly there. Undercover ha. Dorset too. Yokel. "    Undercover Dorset Yokels...could be my new team name :D

Its a bespoke custom system.

Each record is hand written on vellum with a quill, hand pulled from the back of a mongolian porcupine.

Once each record is created, its placed into its own calfskin bound tome, hand embossed and  embellished with 24K gold leaf.

Each tome sits on a shelf lined with pure silk produced from mature silkworms,  fed  on a diet of jasmine enfused mulberry leaves that enables silk production

so fine it's like gossamer.

Then when one of you fine Ladies or Gents  submits a score, your individual  tome is retrieved and a new entry added to a fresh vellum page, lovingly inserted into each tome.

And how do i know? ;)

What else do you think the bloody elves do during the summer?   we have to diversify :)

:santa: x

To put things into perspective...If there is 27000 members, then that's just £1.95 per member...

Yes but according to the above posts it should be around 37pence per member.

Considering it only cost 150k to insure those 27000 members, spending 1/3 as much on a database could bear some explaining.

I've avoided 'putting in a quote' simply because I don't know the scope of requirements. Are we going to be lumbered with this cost on an ongoing basis? It's a big line item on the p&l statement.
