We do Liz, but after a certain length of time it is best to have a remould done as the actual silicone used to make the mould will perish or your ear canal may have changed shape and you would end up with incorrect defenders. Unlike others we have our own lab in the uk and are currently working on 3D scanning technology.

The good thing about Plugz is that they keep your mould on file so you can call them up when you lose one of your two ear defenders. Do other companies do that?
Noisebreakers do as well - but apparently our ears keep growing.... I'm thinking I need a new pair made, so I might step through the process again.

10 years isn't it for your ears to change enough to need new moulds?
Actually 4 years for adults, and 1-1/2 to 2 years for youths. It doesn't take long to do an impression of your ear and compare it to the actual ear plug you have already.

I've had a few in ear moulds taken in the past and the results have been very disappointing. The fit was so poor that they weren't used.

Was pretty impressed by Proshock and the advice given by our own SoR (who has posted above) and Peter Russell (who was on the stand at the shooting Show) and he seems to have done a good job in taking the impressions.  The moulding were taken with care and good explanation, and the whole experience was positive.  Looking forward now to receiving the plugs.  I've confidence that Proshock will have got it right.

Will post further when we've got and tried them..

That is a shame, I guess I was lucky this time they fit great but I do wish I'd of known about proshock would rather of used them. I am very happy tho with the service I received from ultimate ear.
