Don't enjoy being beaten by men of equal ability because it tells me I'm performing below par but personally have always really marvelled at the many great  lady shooters over the years. I have to date not had the pleasure of being in such esteemed company but would treasure the chance of being in a squad with the likes of Cheryl Hall who I have long wanted to watch shoot.

Aye, I would shoot with the devil or a woman and not give a toss. The target is the main event - not who is on the shooting line.

And I have been outscored by a Lady more than once.

Being beaten by the great is almost a given and since I have made it clear I look forward to such company then it should also be clear that I wouldn't be crying into my beer. Being beaten by the not so great is less clear cut I agree, can't see it happening really - why, were you offering? icknose:   :lol:

If you don't mind being beaten you will be,  :twitch:  so gender matters not. I would mind either way, the remarks regarding the greats were just my way of adding I personally particularly cherish the efforts of female shooters because with it being a male dominated sport, to break through and shine takes class and so deserves acknowledgement.

shooting is the one sport that men and women compete on an equal footing,i shoot because I love it I like to do well but there will nearly always be someone there getting a higher score man or woman,i have shot with women and enjoyed the day,i think we should take a leaf out of the footballers book and when you shoot a straight you should take your shirt off.

It was actually a serious question....and did worry about asking it because of the normal way you respond. So i am sorry it touched you so.

P.s. I do not have a baseball bat....only shotguns.

Plus I would hate to take your money after winning, seeing as you said you were having a hard time.

Started off as a good post, ended up as an excellent example of the type of comment which puts a lot of women, and particularly young women, off shooting.

I'm a long way off it, but I never start a shoot thinking that I'm aiming for 15th
