Nicola, I am only selective of your posts that seem disproportionately 'strong' in their tone towards other contributors. Saying 'what a load of crap' is not the best way of arguing your point and will not win you much support. I'm all for opinions on here, that is what a forum is for but occasionally I feel that your opinions appear as insults. Maybe I am reading more into this than I should but that is my view, to which I am entitled..... You are obviously extremely passionate about your chosen cartridge choice, for which I am sure you have reason but there are many brands and each of us are different and had different experiences with cartridges.

I hope you have a very good new year too and a very successful one....

P.s I don't do 'rub downs'

P.P.S just off to buy some Hull shells.... ;-)

Yes you are reading more into to it.I notice that you are selective when my way of speaking does not meet your standards. But that is ok. I am northern ...we dont take prisoners....we speak like that.....if it s a load of crap then we have no problem saying it is what it is....we are truthful and to the point and cannot help it. Not a lot of the southern sorts (i nearly said pussies but thought better of it) can take it.....but hey who wants to change , not me..... or care about altering how one speaks....too old now. This is only an Internet site for a bit of shooting chat.

Have a good new year (without the rub downs then) and enjoy your strange taste in cartridges. I hope they make you hit more in 2014.

Ssssssssssh you will be in trouble . speaking out like that.....

I've had mis shaped shells, poor crimps, missing firing caps and of course the odd mis fire caused by hard primers, I've also had Pro One shells that felt poor in performance which made me open them up to reveal shot from size 7 up to 9 (misshaped too), these I stuck to a cello tape and posted off with a letter. It was a very long time ago but I had a friendly and apologetic call from someone at the factory.

I've had these minor issues with Kent Champions, Hull, Eley, Victory, Express, Fiocchi and no doubt one or two others. Typically I got over them in about 2-3 minutes, they worked perfectly 99.99999% of the time which is way better than almost any other manufactured item.

I don't really get why some one who doesn't work for Fiocchi is asking for contact details from people who have had issues? seems a strange move to me.

I do rub downs but they are exceptionally expensive... ;-)
Hit or miss (mainly miss), I will keep enjoying shooting...life is too short to worry about different shells, chokes, guns etc.. ;-)

Can I help you with your worry...?As a part of the Fiocchi team (Italy) we are as happy to give feedback of any cartridge issues just as we give feedback for potential up and coming shots to be considered for Fiocchi sponsorship.....or in fact any other new items that would be of interest to shooters worldwide. It is run like a great family and feedback is an essential part of that family.

I hope this answers your question for you. Please let me know if I can be of further help.

I like the fiocchi carts I use (official sporting) and f black don't give a toss what anyone else uses.

Have been shooting Top ones for a while now (because I am a tight wad) had no probs at all and must say in a blind fold test  for an entry level shell you would be hard pushed to know otherwise have shot some good scores and beaten many a competitor shooting top end shells and not a misfire to be seen. without being disrespectful I believe that the biggest problem for a lot of shooters is poor ability :fie:   an old saying  "A good craftsman never blames his tools"

FIGHT!!!! :haha: :haha: :nyam: :nyam:

Hotshot I do not think there is a fight with anyone. People are free to choose whatever they want to use. Other people's views simply do not come into the equation.

Well thank you Ian and a happy new year to you Sir :preved:

p.s I also reserve the right to complete immunity to any statements made by or on my behalf :spiteful:

Also just saying :drag:

Well I have just migrated from Gamebore Velocities to Hull Comp X because I find them a hell of a lot smoother (rather than going to 24gm after surgery).

Unfortunately I can't run to the Fiocchis I would like to shoot.

While people are having a 'pop' at those spouting their undying love for Fiocchis, in fairness this is a Fiocchi thread!!!

And just to add to the Eley problems mentioned, I was out with a few newbie shooters this morning shooting Eley First 21gm and four of them suffered at least 2 non firing primers each out of their boxes (they only shot 1 box each)  so there, nerr.

Have a good new year everyone.

Hi Nicola.

As you know I had a bit of an issue with a Top One fibre going phut and wad sticking in barrel.

Not long after furnishing you with details and photo's, I heard that that particular batch was deemed to be faulty and re-called so job done.

Now as I know only too well from work experience, you will never eliminate this type of incident, no matter how good your quality control is, it will only reduce the ratio.

This episode hasn't stopped me using Fiocchi carts since because they listened to customer feedback and responded accordingly and hopefully stopping the issue occurring again.

At the end of the day, we are all free to make the choice of cartridge we use. I don't have a problem with that.

I do however have a problem when people tell me I should be using some other brand. Why? - I wouldn't dream of trying to change their choice. If you are happy with your choice and they work for you, then stick with it.

If we all listened to other people's "advice" all the time, many gun and car manufactures would have gone out of business long ago.

Just my view of course - it's a free world (so I'm told).......
