Super impressed by these, not my normal shell but I was given a slab at a shoot in November and thought I’d use them on pigeons.  Cracking cartridge and low felt recoil, I will be putting them through the sxs at weekend, they are 80 per thou cheaper than Dark Storm and arent lacking when it comes to performance

What spec did you go for? Must admit I thought about trying them put the cheap price actually put me off!

I'll have to get hold of some. Sick of paying the manufacturers usual 30% game load mark up!

PM.

I have used a thousand or so of the PL28's. 28 grams. 6 shot, fibre wad, through my English S x S in the past 2 years. Excellent cartridges at the price, just a tad dirty.

I was given 30g no6 (I assume English 5), certainly convincing on pigeon

Ah, haven’t checked for dirt as I don’t often clean semi auto... will run through sxs and report back

Just started using the PL28 last season and, like yourself, found them to be excellent on game through s/s.Used a K or two of 20b ,both game and for clays, all have been excellent !

Not worried by fouling as I always clean my guns after use !

So do I, every time, BUT with some cartridges it takes a lot more effort,  including spraying barrel cleaner down each tube and leaving them for 30 minutes or so. With my usual clay cartridges it only takes 1 sweep through with a bronze brush, followed by a patch and that's it job done (as far as the barrels are concerned anyway).
