:)    going to visit my first game fair next weekend  - incognito of course ;)

It's the Sussex game and country fair.

I see that they have a dedicated Clay shooting festival, with a pool shoot etc.

One of the sections is a dedicated BASC coaching line, of which i shall avail myself, to see if i can get some additonal  assitance on my current form .

Quick question though,   Although they say they supply everything, can you take your own  equipment?     and is it acceptable to wander round with your O/U in its slip

Or do you leave it in the car, and get it when required   (although i'd be a bit worried personally) about leaving it unattended for all that time

Or do i just use the equpment they provide and go with the flow

:santa:

I'm going too Santa, not fussed about looking round the show as I've been a number of times before, I'm just going to shoot and try to qualify for the Great Wall challenge, I can't answer your question about taking your own equipment in or walking round with it, all I want to know is do you have to pay to get in the show if your only shooting,I may go Saturday  and Sunday and if I have to fork out entry fee to the show and shoot too it will be a costly venture!!

Have a good time, but check the weather forecast......looks like it might reindeer.....

The game fairs that I have been to have been no problem walking round with my gun  in the slip. A couple of them let people in free to shoot because the shooting area was accessible without going into the main ground, and you couldn't get through to the fair without showing/buying a ticket.

I will be there on the Sunday. I've already Qualified so just going for fun! If you see me give us a nudge! I'm fairly easy to spot in a crowd (6'6" Blue Vest with DKG Pest Control on the back and Gamebore cap)

I will be floating around the clay shooting most of the day.
