Hello Martyn.

I'm also in South Oxon and also new to the sport.  It was a day at EJ Churchill over the Christmas break that inspired me to take it up.

I would love to go back to EJC but it will probably be as a treat rather than shooting there every week.  Having said that the facilities are fantastic.

Be aware folks, EJC have plenty of great value shooting in the week. Wednesday and Thursday 12pm to 4pm is £6 for 25 clays or £17.50 for 50 ESP. Also on first Thursday of each month is their ESP reg shoot (open to all). 100 targets for £34 Birds only. 9amto 2pm entries for winter. Check with them for details 01494 883227. Hi Martyn,

I live between Didcot and Swindon and shoot at Barbury (http://www.barburyshootingschool.com/) which bingle Maps says is 50mins from you. I've just got back from Bisley's Pay and Play ground today (75mins from you) http://www.bisleyshooting.co.uk/bisley-shooting-ground/pay-and-play/.

Both are on the pricier end of the scale (Barbury £32/£40 per 100 clays. Bisley £32/£38 per 100) but are open during the week which is a real bonus for me as i work in the mornings most weekends.
