So which high rib gun do you fancy? Seem to be lots around these days!!!

I am waiting with bated breath for the release of the 692 x trap but no sign of it yet :(

Quite liked the SV10 X I saw in SC and cheap as chips at less than 2k

Don't think anything else is in the running as I am Beretta through and through and to be honest its probably just a moment I am having bit like my DTL moment ..... it will pass mate :)

Yes its all very hush hush for some reason. Looks nice though.

Has it broke already??

Talking of Beretta.....Had to laugh at my friend winning this......with a Perazzi...this weekend.

And where can I get that tri-color barrel sticker?

I did consider the CG and might have a good look at one but Mr Beretta will not be pleased with me as I have shot nothing but Beretta for 20yrs :)
Ian using a Beretta for 20 years means you'll notice the difference in quality. I picked up and tried those Caesar Guerinis but they just don't have the quality finish and feel of a Beretta or Perazzi, the one I tried had a bendy high rib !  I do like the positioning of the fore end release though.

I think your right jay they don't feel the same at all but they do look good and great falue for money. I have to disagree with one thing though I hate anson forend release.

Funny how peoples views differ.

Before I bought my Guerini maxum, I looked at several beretta and thought the finish and feel were definately on par with each other! I picked the Guerini because it looked nicer and had better wood figuring.

Can't comment on Perazzi as I didn't look at them at the time. I feel they are a bracket above both Guerini and beretta bar the flagship models.

Still each to their own, you pays your money, you makes your choice!

Nope mine is brown leather with red velour lining.

Not denim and not maroon

just saying

Ian

The only place i can find any images of the 692 X trap are here on an Australian gun trading site

http://www.guntradingplace.com.au/Beretta-692-X-Trap-Custom-adid2599.aspx

Seems odd that there is still nothing on the official Beretta site though??

Sorry for being thick, but if this gun is 'hush hush', not even on Berettas website, how come there is/was one for sale in Aus of all places?

And that Phil is the million dollar question? The 692 X trap was supposed to be released towards the end of 2013 I believe but not a sign yet? Not even a picture on the Beretta website!! Obviously the Aussies are much further up the ladder than the whole of Europe?

Bizarre!  Europe is the home market!   You would think they would service that one first?

Glad I stick with Brownin/Mirook.

The way i understand it is that usa get first go then the ozzy lot then after the faults have been rectified UK get the finished product, so usa and ozzy are sort of guinea pigs.

The above may not be correct but that's my guess :)

I now can't get the image out of my head of all Aussies and Americano's as small furry squeaky things.........

I thought an Americano was a weak black coffee, prefer Expresso myself.  Mind you I have never met an American who can make a proper cup of coffee.

Sorry, went OT
