Mind you, because of the new scoring system, Ed could hit most targets in the comp, but could still lose out in the final. It really does make it all something of a farce as far as I'm concerrned, but that's only my opinion of course!!!

You really shouldn't have to win it twice. Or be able to lose having won the first time round. Madness!!  :fie:

That's it exactly Mike!!!! The current system is just lunacy and not really fair either.

yes and no fog

I wonder what the difference is with those clays Ian?

They are made of wood resin, are white inside and break with only a few pellet strikes, If you smoke one they smoke white which is weird.

tiroVesti seamless performance clothing.

Just been looking at the scores again......I've never seen so many high scores!!!! OK so a few low ones, but a huge amount of very high ones !!!!

Not saying that Granada are using these but made in Spain of pine resin.

Colour good, not suitable for driven.

Well worth the price difference which I think is +50p /round of 25.

Corsiva Clays 40up?

They almost look like they have been machined when you hold them.... very regular edges.  Must fly very true.

I think Rugby have been using them as well.

That one was gleaned for the collection from the traps at Nuthampstead. The wood resin bit must be the binding agent for the chalk, not the pitch tar of our clays. Can be had painted black but explodes white.

Corsivia announced sponsor of ISSF Worlds so yes they're using these.

When I saw them, they had a nice puff of dust when hit - almost like a bright white flash clay.

Right that's it Fred!!!!!! I'm going to ask our county committee to insist on these at county shoots from now on!!! I wonder what sort of reply I will get?   :spiteful:   (Over to you Garry2749.....Mr County Secretary....Sir)

Just had a proper look at results, wow and double wow truly incredible scores.

easy targets, good light or just a case of everyone shot extremely well ?

Ian, those are very high scores indeed, think we should wait for the verdict from uncle Fred mate!

Anyway Ian......Ive seen less kills at a DTL comp! Usually shot by me! Pmsl!!! Sad but true!!

Les

they look like dtl scores were you need a straight just to get in a shoot off. Very unusual Isnt it. Or is it ?

As you say we need 40up to give an opinion.

Ian, we must wait for the verdict from the oracle mate! I don't recall seeing such scores for OT before! Yes a few were low (ish), however I don't ever recall seeing so many high 90's and two 100's in such a comp before, or maybe I never noticed them? Fred will know!

Me neither mate however didn't we have a similar scenario last year i cant remember which world cup but seem to remember high scores on that one too. Very interested to find out why scores are so high. Surely its just good shooting surely it cant be easy targets ?

Munich a couple of months ago was high scoring too.  I've shot UT at Granada three or four times, it's a good background, the light is good and the new Corsiva or Vivaz clays stand out well and break easily.  It's the ground where Ed Ling shot the 200 ex 200 and set the world record in 2013 at the UT European Championships.

Interesting Phil. So really assume its a number of things that come together on the day ?
