Guys can anyone describe the difference between an

Mx8

Mx12

Mx2000

Mx2000s

I'm a sporting shooter so not really interested in the trap versions unless it relevant of course oh and please don't just bash perazzi if you don't like them don't post?.....

I'm not an expert, but basically the MX8 has removable trigger assembly, the MX12 does not. The other two are subtle version changes to MX12.

Here is the link to the site in English.

You will be able to search all the guns you wish and see the tech spec and the pictures....

Have fun..

Clever is correct, the mx8 has dtachable trigger assembly with leaf springs, the mx12 has fixed triggers  with either coil springs or leaf springs (your choice).

Mx12 has a barrel selector as std, MX8 does not. May be relevant for sporting......

This is like groundhog day.

MX8  - leaf springs, detachable trigger group. May or may not have barrel selector.

MX12 - coil springs, non-detachable trigger group. Ditto barrel selector.

MX2000 - this is a version of the MX8, see above.

MX2000S - this is a version of the MX12, see above.

No preference for coil or leaf springs, both are fantastic but the coils will keep shooting if they break, which they don't. As opposed to leaf springs which don't keep shooting if they break, which they sometimes do.  Clear?

MX8 can have either leaf or coil springs in its detachable trigger unit. Although the majority seem to come with leaf. Also, as far as I am aware the non detachable trigger units on the MX12 series all come with coil springs, certainly on current models.

You're right about the MX8 having leaf or coil springs although I understand coils are rare with detachable triggers.

Ian

I once had an SCO MX8 with coils that's the only reason I know. I guess if you pay that much for a gun you can have whatever bl**dy springs you want.

S0R,

Sorry mate but I have to say also that they are available with non-cracked stocks whilst new but soon become cracked.

And with detachable ribs after a short period of time.

Four times the cost of a Miroku Gd5 and a quarter as good.

Tin hat on but I don't care.

Haha trust you sloppy......

love it :)

I used to quite fancy a ferrari then realised I would never get out of one with my knackered back. ..

When I ordered my MX12 Pro Sport about 2005 from the factory I was asked if I wanted leaf or coil springs? I opted for coils as they seldom break , also the barrel selector does not cause

problems if you change to top barrel first as in some MX8 actions.

My MX 12 is seldom cleaned! just pulled through with a long mop, stocks crack at times because someshooters change stocks, and a different stock needs heading up to fit correctly, I have never had any ribs come loose? another thing is that I personnaly have never seen coil spring on detachable triggers?

I just want to say that the total repairs cost for the 'hideous problems' my MX12 has suffered is £30. Not that bad for a gun that has been used for 10000 clays a year for over 6 years..

(Mind you, I do use a gunsmith who has a sense of financial fairness)
