:fie:  My pro sport came as the majority do 3/8ths and 5/8ths which is 15 thou and 25 thou bags enough choke to kill any targets! :hunter:

So after 6 pages what exactly is the difference between the models: MX8, MX12, MX2000S etc?

MX8 has detachable trigger group and the MX12 does not. MX2000s is an MX12 with a bit of engraving. Simples.

Come on Matt!  See post #6 for definitive answer.

Or have I just fallen into the trap of reviving a dead thread??  If so, just call me Mr Gullible.    :sarcastic:

Sorry I slipped in to a coma, did read #6 but it wasn't obvious what the differences were, ok so in terms of ownership, MX8 or MX2000S or is there no rel difference in shooting terms?

If you shoot sporting go for the MX12 / MX2000s as you will have a barrel selector. If you shoot trap go for the MX8.

I shoot an MX8 and shoot mostly trap. I do miss the barrel selector when I shoot sporting though.

I usually have both barrels fixed at the same choke, so selectable barrels not that important to me, feel and handling on the other hand...

I like having drop out triggers. It makes cleaning and maintenance much easier. Mine is also coil springs unlike most MX8. It just takes a while to find the right one.

Am seriously considering one Michael, just needs to be the right one! A couple of musts for me, 32" barrels, fixed choke not less then half and half, tapered rib and a stock that has not been butchered hahaha

Would you like it this week or next week? Let me know and I will deliver it.

I think the mx 8 and 12 are great found it took a bit of getting used to from my other gun but will get there eventually. The only reason I went for the 12 was because I heard the stock were a little less likely to crack. I'm the same with choke and mine is three quarter in both barrels.
