Perazzi... tips...

anyone got any tips at things to look for or at on used perazzi's? (or beretta DT10s for that matter)

I think i'm going to get a used trap gun (prob 30in for ABT and OT) after much advice on here.

I hear different things regarding them, some say they have trigger issues and double taps?

Anything else to watch for and what should a used MX8 go for?

check:

the stock for cracks around the back of the action/trigger area.

loose side ribs.

remove forend and shake action to see if the barrels are loose on the trunnions.

check the top lever sits to the right and not dead centre or to the left.

remove all parts and check serial numbers all match up.

drop out the trigger and see if everything looks tidy and not worn, hammers not got cracks in them etc

i sold my one last year for around £2k but if in a shop it would have been more like £3K

no idea, i dont really keep an eye on prices as i rarely buy or sell guns.

at the end of the day its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Customer broke a spring on his Perazzi today " Yes that's very unfortunate, we don't have those problems with proper guns like an MK38, in fact I believe Perazzi may be learning about gunmaking and using coil springs in their MX2000 just like proper gunmakers use" 'Yes but the trigger pulls are not like Perazzi' "They are better when your Perazzi is broken"

30 targets in this afternoon clean snap on the bottom barrel leaf spring MX8. Spare triggers in cartridge bag straight in [been here before]. Unnerves you though. :mellow:
