New pet hate, "Lycraists" cycling in a swarm 5 or 6 abreast, blocking a country lane, impeding my progress to the local shoot, when I squeeze passed, being jeered at and shaking their heads! I of course gave the prescribed wave through the back window! (Hoping there wasn't a traffic jam 100yds up the road!) Now I have nothing against cyclist per se, if they want to wear pointy hats and wind resistant goggles, that makes them look like demented flies, cool, but don't slow me down! But to top it all they are covered in badges and stickers!

Spot on ! I detest the cycle fascists, using the public roads for racing and riding furiously, ignoring the Highway code....ignorant selfish $8$:*&$s !!!

We always end up with kids and grandkids at ours at Xmas!!!! This will be the second year that we've told them to cook the dinner, while me and the wife go to the pub! This year we have also decided that once Xmas dinner is over we will do something different! So we've decided to invite everyone from the pub over to ours for the evening, so if the kids and grandkids don't like it .....well that's tough innit? Most of us are the wrong side of fifty and have the decency to take our own booze when we go visiting, unlike some relatives!!!!! So kids and grandkids will have to put up with the antics of a bunch of old gits for the evening!!!! :spiteful:

Load of bollox imo, trailing around seing folk you don't see from one year to another, worse still folk visit me usually in the middle of emmerdale (I don't watch it mrs ips does .. honest)buying all insundry flaming cards, presents for everyone you ever said hello too (according to mrs ips) it costs a fortune, gets tiring, you eat to much which is a bad thing, you drink too much which is a debatable thing, you smoke to many Havana which again is a debatable thing and on top of all that there is the religious connection (apparently) some old fable about some bloke and his mrs and some animals and a barn next to a pub blah blah blah.

commuting into London for work every day is a nightmare for chugging. 

There is a different band of chuggers at Cannon Street station every day.  They look at you like you're the tightest person in the world if you don't throw money their way, but they don't realise that there is someone begging for cash or bank details every day.

Last week somebody was chugging for the orangutans of Borneo. I mean there are some things closer to home that need sorting out before I throw money at that. Like buying me a new gun.

Speaking of begging, Mrs ips was very mad at me two weeks ago.

We went to the NEC caravan show, loads of folk decided they could afford to view 40k plus motorhomes but could not afford a baked potato for £6 so they brought home made sarnies wrapped in foil. Anyway there was a huge crowd of them all sat on the floor against a wall. (some of you now may have guessed the rest) as we walked by I thought it a good idea to get a pound coin out of my pocket and pretend to throw it at the afforsaid seated crowd and even to my amazement I could be heard to shout the following "here you go buy yourself something warm but don't spend it on alchohol or drugs" Mrs ips was not amused as I thought I had thought it but apparently I did actually say it.... oops
