My Dad's 692 jams when it gets warm. He took it back to the dealer and they blamed him for not cleaning it and lubricating it correctly......the barrel selector is also jumping to no-mans land after the first shot if he fires bottom barrel first, causing him to not be able to fire the second barrel without flicking the selector between shots.3 or 4 times today it would,nt open
checked it over when i got home found what looks like a crack behind
the top ejector also seems alot of play in this ejector compared to
the bottom ejector
This is a fairly common fault even with the 682, what happens is that the shooter inadvertently brushes the selector over in the act of flicking the lever open ! I actually had the serrated edges filed clean off on my old 682, the problem is less severe on the E version but I always check where it is between stands. My Dad's 692 jams when it gets warm. We thought that may be the case with both of ours, but proved it to not be.This is a fairly common fault even with the 682, what happens is that the shooter inadvertently brushes the selector over in the act of flicking the lever open ! For the selector to swipe over mid way preventing it from firing it has to either be moved by a finger or judder across by vibration or recoil, you can check if the latter is likely by feeling to see how easy it is to move, most guns are deliberately set a bit on the stiff side to prevent recoil from moving them about. We thought that may be the case with both of ours, but proved it to not be.
Why on earth have you had three barrels? What happened?i know its not 692 related but i am now on my 3rd a400 barrel in less than a 1000 shells...wish i never bought it.
