I guess there must a bit of Bad luck in what occasionally comes from the factory.   Little fella has had his for a year now. Not a problem. He did get a 1 time issue after the first 500 shots in that the ejector got stuck and he couldn't close the gun. Some knowledgeable chap showed us that you can actually set the ejector off and on. This setting screw had got moved somehow between the settings. Once put right never a problem again.

My old 682 is about 25 yrs old, never been stripped / cleaned internally. Never had a problem............. Damm i'll bet it starts now  :fie:

It does amuse me how many people say:

I've had my "xxxx" gun for 18 months and it's never had a problem! Well apart from that little simple problem I had once when......

:)

It would seem you can spend £300 on a Hatsan and get problems, or £9k on a Perazzi and still have problems. Much like cars...

Quite, at the end of the day you're asking a mechanical item to contain thousands of mini explosions within its structure whilst also having the ability to open and close in between ! Things wear and they need TLC from time to time. How long does your average sofa last when IT only has to cope with the odd muffled blast !

this is the third beretta i,ve owned and the most expensive and the only one i,ve had any problems with.

rang GMK today, got the impression they were,nt interested even wanted me organise and pay for a courier

made my mind up there and then to get rid.

might get a spud gun and a 1000 7 1/2 king edwards.

and my gold e goes up in value with every post.                       wait for it...............

Mine was locking up when I first got it. The problem was that it was bone dry inside the action the top lever spindle and conical bolt were the worst, after a coating of grease its now fine. Its not a difficult job if your reasonably mechanical minded.

My leather sofa is 7 years old and knackered.

Especially where my Lesley sits. Collapsed completely.

My DT 10 was one year old and totally worn out. Less than 10000 shells.

3 top bolts had Teflon coating worn off on underside. Could not open gun.

Barrel lugs had all the plating coming off black pitting on them. Grinding itself into the barrels.

Fore end loose. Barrels loose. 3 sets of firing pins.

Took it to GMK they said it needs a service.

Got the gun back then got rid of it.

It was always cleaned greased oiled.

What did you lubricate it with...grinding paste?!?! Why 3 sets of firing pins? Was it miss firing?

That's a great advert for a top of the range off-the-shelf Beretta![/quote
I demanded another gun saw Waktare he said I would get the gun back as new.

I got it back it was so tight and hard to push top lever over it had to go.

I'm a lefty so had to push top lever.

Most DT10,s have this top lever issue.

When top bolt has coating worn off underside it eats the barrel lugs away.

Top tang goes over and sticks requiring a lot of effort to open.

Shot it really well so it was a wrench to let it go.

It made the grinding paste itself with the plating coming off the barrel pivot lugs. The firing pins kept pitting then holing the primers.

They even changed one set at the game fair.

You get a free set of pins as part of the spares package with gun when new.

Now I know why.

Have 692 a year now used every weekend no problems so far. Scores really going up to. I really hope I dont get any of these issues coz I think there a brilliant gun.

Firstly sell the 692, next change your forum name :good:

Then get yourself over to Warwickshire and try my L/H CG Challenger. Then go and buy one, problem solved.

Belive me its no laughing matter especially since these guns cost so much. I hope you get sorted out soon.
