Well the last time I made an espresso I think I used water so .... anyway the average for an espresso is about 200mg per serving... about 45ml but it varies wildly. Nearly all the coffee sold in places like Starbucks et al are made by this method and the diluted out with hot water. The three methods you describe as alternatives just in my opinion produce a poor coffee, filter coffee on the other hand is quite acceptable... horses for courses though.Espresso is relatively low caffeine content, French press (caffetire) and stovetop pots and percolater coffee are higher in caffeine (due to caffeine being water soluble).
