I dont expect a no bird call on any sporting target unless it is wildly off line I look at it as being a simulation of live shooting and how many wild animals fly or run to a perfect course.
i am with you on this one, many reasons not to shoot game practice i mean sporting. Here are just some reasons not to ... ahemThis is one of the reasons I don't shoot Sporting (as well as the mud), there's no equity in competition. One guy gets a target that rolls straight and true, another gets a target that jumps 2 feet, slows and veers to the left.
If 'no birds' aren't going to be given then it makes a mockery of the competition.
They are often flat and red.........................once a Landrover has run em over!!!!! Bit like badgers I guess. :laugh:8 . targets that are called something but they don't look anything like it, such as rabbit, they are not round or orange they are brown ish and fluffy.
I went to watch a straw bale shoot a few weeks ago, some of the birds were incomers. Some of us, including whoever was shooting at the time, had to get out the way of bits of flying clay on a regular basis, not my idea of fun mate!Ha, that's true never thought of it like that les
For one that was blown off it's intended course by a significant amount rendering it unshootable or unsafe, Yes I would!A bouncing rabbit is no different to a clay in the air that skips up, or is pushed down due to a gust of wind.
Surely ref you wouldn't call a no bird for a clay that skips on the breeze.
the more sporting you shoot, good and bad luck usually even themselves out!!!?This is one of the reasons I don't shoot Sporting (as well as the mud), there's no equity in competition. +1If I wanted to shoot the exact same stuff week in week out I'd shoot a round of trap. Then hang myself...
you know the score before you take the stand, you watch the chap on front of you see the clay has the odd bounce In a certain place, and deal with it!!All rabbits should be banned boring boring targets and inconsistent most people just dust them anyway pointless and not really much of a resemblance of a real rabbit IMO, If the rabbit jumps as you pull the trigger and I am sure most have suffered this it could mean the difference between winning and losing a few bucks.
The trajectory has changed which should mean a no bird I hasten to add even the best sporting shooter on the planet feels they are an unfair target. icknose:
+1throw a clay out of any trap anyhow and I am happy to shoot at it.it would be boring if all were uniform.
