Prices if you can help.

Recently tried some of the RC2's as Superbs getting ridiculous money. Both myself and TIpTopgun thought they were ok.

We paid £178.50 from Bully at Just C's.

I thought this was a good deal, but a post from someone said we still paid too much.

What is the going rate for them? Locally I mean to Glos/Oxfordshire areas.

Stew

Big pete at www.clayshootingrus.co.uk has them listed at £167 but as usual it does say price correct as of june last year :( saying that his price for 24g victory compaks correct as of last year is the same (mum and dad were over there yesterday and checked)

Even so a trip over to thame even if you sent Tiptop would burn the tenner per thou saving.

although Bully is not the cheapest in town, he is just 5 minutes from work. That is why I tried to pitch the question as a local price. The L200 pick up will burn up the saving in 5 minutes by the time we are out of Oxon/Glos.

We are impressed with the RC2 shells. Good breaks at distance, although TipTop did have 1 misfire/duffer in his first box!

Remember that being Italian, their 7.5s will be an English 7.

Hi,

My local dealer in Essex does the RC2 28g for £172.00 24g £161.00, to be honest though recently I have been using the Fiocchi Top Ones, they

do the job, seem to break everything, not thumpy & are cheap @ £150.00 28g £147.00 24g.

Also use the fibre Top Ones at shoots that require F/wad only.

Another misfire at the worlds this weekend. A bit un-nerving 2 misfires in the first 300 shells when i have only ever had 1 misfire in about 6000-7000 eley olympics.Would stick with the olympics but the local price is now extortionate.

Will have to see if i can get hold of some Fblus and see if they are any better.

Very good.

Just been on JC's website and he has olympics at 169/1000 in his bin ends offers so will be in there tomorrow as that is a good price for round here

Steve, where are you getting top one locally to Oxonian/glos for that price?

The best of cartridges are £1 box more. If I skip one shoot I can buy 2000 of the best instead to use on the next 20 shooting days. Why don't you find the cartridges that give you the best results, not the lowest price?

I was talking with Steven Walton yesterday. He said that he is not shooting much at the moment; only about 1000 per week! His busy weeks must add up!

Hi Newbie,

Eastern Sporting in Chelmsford Essex. Good little gun shop & nice people, I now tend to use them for everything as their prices

are always very competitive.

They are a Fiochi dealer, and both me and her indoors use them.

I got a slab of Fblu's to try last time I was in there.

Never thought of it like that before Mr t. Not so sure about deliberately missing a shoot though. ;-)
