What the hell are these lines? Since when have Devon & Cornwall been grouped with Wales, Scotland and other northern heathens!

I would have said Trent across to Liverpool/Birkinhead - anything above is North and anything below is South

When I lived in Glasgow, the locals considered anyone from south of Carlisle as a southerner. However, being from the glorious Home Counties myself I consider St Albans is where the south officially ends.

According to a recent scientific study, there are life forms quite similar to humans living in the wilderness region between St Albans and Scotland.

Talk about jumping to conclusions - no-one ever suggested we'd have a North vs South compo - that's been done, really well by PW - but we have a plan to raise money for a charity which ShootClay members would choose.

Middle of the road = average....?? :.:

Better idea is to group the counties in alphabetical order, then divide into two teams based on the totals. That way, there's none of this North/South tosh!

Ayreshire and Avon shooting together, Suffolk, Sussex and Shropshire etc etc.

Of course, it will depend on the number of shooters from each county, but it can't be beyond the skill of our Admins to work it out.

Couldn't group the S's together because deadly rivals Shropshire and Staffordshire would be together, that would be a first and it will never happen. But I suppose I could make an exception for Lead Head and Maxum.

Getting here kinda late and I can see the thread drift has set in hahaha

Over the years I've been part of most of the US sites, w/ a variety of names as time passed. I have to agree w/ the one poster about arguing w/ Americans - you just can't sometimes because they often do not see facts as an essential element. And tho there is not a 1:1 correspondence, when facts are in short supply courtesy seems to be in short supply too. Mostly I've just gotten to the "not bother" stage.

It is interesting here for me since you folks live in a very different world for the most part. And I'll try not to get into any arguments hahaha

The only US site I use is Shotgunworld and have been a member for seven years and nearly four hundred posts.

It's reasonably sane with very little bad mouthing and it has a lot of useful information contained therein.
