three drives two hundred birds per drive.

that's all I know, so how does it work ??

Very similar to a proper game day, draw a peg, possibly shared with another gun and swap over half way through the drive, sometimes load yourself other tines your partner stuffs. Stand there and shoot a load of driven clays. Take lots of cartridges, a slab minimum. Good fun, gun gets very warm.

have a look at the dbwclay site they do simulated days and have a downloadable brochure. looks good to me but a bit costly

i have no connection to dbw by the way

Can be good fun on the right ground. But a LOT of cartridges fired. I had a raging migraine after the last one I shot and that was with 21g loads.

Gives you a good excuse to practice shooting the birds delivered for the guns 3 pegs either side of you....

mutley

I am not but I am going on one ?

I loaded for a mate some years ago at a sim day near Blandford and he shot just over 1150 cartridges. He didn't fancy a round of skeet at Southern Counties on the way home. Big strong lad too.

better take a couple of slabs of 27g then...oh and ibuprofen ?

trouble is I have a few K of suprfast in stock. It'll be all right ?

Anyone doing these simulated Gamedays really needs to replicate what they will be doing in the Game season .

So I would recommend 40 grams of Number 5 or even better still Express World Cup 32 gram , and really get stuck in and shoot 250 +

Did a sim day at Dovey Valley a few years ago. numerous 'drives' in a variety of locations around their estate. Pissed in down all day, wet through but thoroughly enjoyable day. Take LOTS of cartridges. :)

Alright,  if you are not shooting off your shooting stick, or you just may strike oil  !
