Ian Just for you,
We had the double rise first, tis was a 60 bird comp, which when we shot it, Jay was also in my squad, it was blowing a gale and to make matters worse we had rain and then Hail stones, it was that bad that the targets were being blown all over, and it was blowing the barrels off fom my hold point to the right, which meant fighting them against the wind to get on the first bird. So only 25 ex 60 there.
Next up UT, a 50 bird comp this time, no rain this time but still very windy but a bit brighter. On my squad again was Jay and joining in was Jason McClean from here, As stated earlier this was the first time for me and the hints from heare and from Jay helped out no end. Started on peg 4 so had a chance to view 3 birds before hand and get a veiw on the lines, tried using the pick a spot method but as thecomp went on this was more dificult due to amount of orange bits on the floor. Well at the end of the first round I had a 23 ex 25. A very short break enough time to refill with cartridges and off we went again. this time I think I suffered a bit from shooting the next round so quickly, I didn't bring a drink along strange really as I normally do this for DTL, and most of my misses were near the end of the round.
So ended with a 18 ex 25 for a total od 41 ex 50.
The Hampshire UT champ needed a shoot off as Andy and Ben Gorge both shot 46 ex 50, which Andy Gorge one after a shoot off.
