Hi would that mean 50% fiocchi, red being red shot ? And black being RC4? Or have I got all the brands wrong ?
Are you surprised about the numbers of 28g shooters

There was a wide range Dyosk even Eley Blues 24gm. Strong on Italian brands Clever for example, Fiocchi Blacks. RedShot are an iconic cartridge. Saw no Sovereign, Black Gold, Excel or Shoot Off. Many people are happy with RC2 for economy. Aaron used Official Trap in Al Ain, his favourite fodder Golden Trap unavailable.
28gm was intended to encourage new shooters probably not for these circumstances. Unclassified more appropriate I think.

I was there, shot so bad felt like giving up after the first day , longest drive back to the Liverpool ferry I've ever experienced

No it was worse than that pal :(
So what made the shooting so bad? It was a nice enough weekend, not much of a breeze either, light was decent enough all weekend. So what do you reckon caused the trouble Ian?

Well sat was a bit windy but nothing excessive. I think it was just the fact that the targets were set to max. Some big names were in the teens some good shooters were in mid teens. 40up may be able to be more specific as he is probably the most experienced ot guru we have. :)

Big names in the teens????? Blimey Ian, glad I couldn't get there then, I would have had trouble making double figures by the sound of it mate! :hang:  A very well known shooter, the late AJ Smith once told me that  targets should be testing, but NEVER so hard that even the top guys have big trouble with them. He was talking generally, not about any specific discipline. AJ was not idiot as we all know, and he knew what he was talking about I reckon.

There was some single figures thrown in too..... Not many got all lines with a 2 at the beghning as far as i know. Funny really as they looked ok until you were looking down the barrel then they were the size of a polo mint.

Im not shooting very well at the minute anyway, but Saturday and Sunday really messed with me , and I bought a slab of those bloody red nick rc4's, best I managed was a 19

Just looked at the scores, you really didn't do so bad Ian, almost all the scores were low. Fred seems to have done well considering all the other scores.

Cheers, my mistake was not looking at the scores or paying attention to other shooters after / during my 1st line. I came off with a 19 which on sat wasnt too bad and I could have bettered it with later lines however I wrongly thought that it was a cack score and nutty the week before came back to haunt me therefore I slowed down a bit and started thinking, which is not my style at all I am more of a gun up call for target and shoot the 1st thing I see kind of shooter none of this quiet eye stuff or composure stuff. If and its a big if. I had realised that my 1st line wasnt "that" bad comparatively and carried on shooting my natural style then I reckon I could have done better. Its my own stupid fault, after nearly 30 yrs I should have known better but hey ho there you go.

As for Mr T yes he did really well as you know he is allways a consistent, solid and reliable shot.

PS - I think he is really half man half machine but sshhhh dont let on I told you. :)

What happened with the finals??

Was there a problem understanding the new rules?? I am getting confused reports of some points being carried forward to the final but not all????
