Will, dont know where you see only 3 shooters in the 90's..i counted 8 including 3 in A class.tho they all come from East Anglia...must be the water !!!!..........

BTW...........Thank god that you arent running the ground, eh ?? .all AA would be shooting 100+ out of 100 ha ha

Over & out.. :bye:
Just to add, the chap who won B shot 89, way above his average. Could it be Mr Hewland is a plastic AA? :p :D

That was possibly the one that had three stands made very difficult by the sun.
i believe that was the week before where the sun was out, the week of the 67 was generally dull and cloudy (but still a challenge)

I said 3 OVER 90.. sigh..

So.. onto a different shoot.. Westfield today. A bit chilly and that annoying fine rain during first half. It didn’t seem like the toughest  Westfield course, but no real easy stands, so the HG ended on 91 and a few decent names were on lower scores than I would have predicted. I managed to drop at least 4 daft ones as per usual lately, so finished on a bland 85 but did enjoy the course, with a good squad and great scorer. A nice way to spend Xmas eve and even the roads were kind to me.

Have a great day tomorrow all.

Was planning on doing the Southdown Reg tomorrow, but looked at the weather forecast and don't fancy it in 45mph winds.  We might go out for the three man flush at Willow Farm tomorrow.

Don’t go between 12 and 3pm as they seem to be having the same weather.  Before that slight wind and rain.

Southdown, hellish and painful.  The weather was extreme.  A very good effort I thought given the horrendous wind to contend with when setting that course.

For once I’m not upset to be in a warm office rather than shooting; the weather really doesn’t look fun to be out in!

Next outing will be Garlands on Sunday and Longridge on Monday.

Owls today, just me and billy bunter, went late numers 197 & 198! Saw lots of regular faces, bright sunny and not at first but did later get chilly.

Billy has a new F16 whilst Florence is still “new” to me, shot stands as 1-9, 11,12 then back to 10 and we both started off fairly confidently always nice to straight a stand early, after 6 stands we were neck and neck in the brother war, odd wheel fell off as per.

Old Codger 78, Bunter 72, he did though win a bottle having broke a flash clay ?

We had a very pleasant day out, fair weather, lots of chums, hit some clays, me, for a Christmas Shoot one could not really ask for anything more ?

Owls lodge for us too, sunny and bright but cold in the shade!!  Loads of people there so had to queue on quite a few stands.  First time shooting  in 5 weeks so wasn’t sure if I’d remember what end of the gun to hold and Owls is a bit of a bogey ground for me, never shoot it well so was happy to come off with a 71 which I think is one of my higher scores there.  Only complaint was they had run out of sausages by the time we had breakfast!!

I did owls at 11am. Well, it was an hour to get breakfast so shot at 12! Then 3.5 hours to go round, with their record entry of about 275 I think. A good course, plenty of decent stands but nothing horrible.

Maddening wait for q of 20 people on my last stand, 1, which was next to a constantly empty stand 2. Don’t know how we all managed that..

I missed a stupid second pair on the rabbits, but otherwise just missed a few more as expected, finishing on 93. I hear it was straighted? Could be a rumour..
